I started Splinterlands last night and it hurt my brain. I don't think I will ever be a gamer (other than shooting free throws--having grown up in Indiana, I grew up with basketball, corn, and auto racing.) I am glad so many enjoy it, though.
Wow, you were brave to try it! It is REALLY confusing at first, especially if you're not a gamer. I know I am definitely NOT a gamer or ever thought I would be doing these kind of videos. So, you're not alone! I think once I just started adding my own spin on it, it made it more fun. I am not worried about winning all the time or climbing the ranks to the big boys, just want to make Silver & stay there!!! LOL

I think for most people their favorite Splinter is the one they win with most often. For me that started out as the Fire Splinter. However, Since I got my Llama, I must say that I have a lot of fun with the Earth Splinter. Since I am still in Bronze, not too many people have an answer for that summoner. I don't win all of my Earth Splinter matches, but I think it is a little over 80%. When you put one of your tanks in the last position (I like using Nectar Queen or Sand Worm, mostly), they wreak havoc when they are the only monster left.

Yes, I have noticed some of my Splinter preferences have changed as well. It kind of fluctuates for me. I started off loving Death & Fire, then just Fire and now it's between Earth, Fire & Death. Water is still my worst lol...I can't seem to stay in Silver (as I tend to "whine" about in my videos), but I am determined to this time around. We will see. I am not too worried about moving up the ladder. I just want to learn more about the strategies & how to win more often. You seem to be doing pretty well! 80% is not shabby at all and yes, I LOVE the Nectar Queen. She kicks butt, big time! :)

I am not in the gaming area in hive blockchain, except in Dcity (it is not in a good shape due to high taxes). However, I feel like you are super excited about playing this games. The tone of you, shouting, screaming etc. all indicate that you really enjoy the game. To be honest, I think the ladies aren't in this type of games as much as the gents. And here you are enjoying and sharing your game play.
