Still clueless about the mechanics of this land aspect of the game. I don't know if I am too lazy to read. I see Splinterlands as a game for fun, but it seems to me that with the addition of the land, I need to do some reading to catch up with the game.
. . . reading the land expansion discord channel can often be confusing, as it is filled with people with various degrees of understanding of the game.
As I said, I am one of the confused. 😆
I currently have 24 worksites built and producing . . .
Curious about how much $DEC you spent to build these 24 worksites.
I also decided to put some better cards to work on one of my Research plots.
What do you mean by "better cards"?
Something else that I'll need to take care of soon is to become grain-sustainable . . .
This makes the land aspect of the game like a virtual economic system.

Maybe you should. Land will have a 'land surfing' option which will allow non-land owners to use land that their owners don't (yet). Not enough details to tell you more about it.
I spent a serious amount of DEC on time crystals to instantly clear plots (I didn't have enough of them, apparently). But one could have done without TCs, it just takes (way) longer.
Other than that, I didn't pay any DEC. It is staked as Dark Energy on land, but I can unstake it, it's still mine, and can use it elsewhere if I decide to.
Better cards in terms of production points, the metric that determines how much you produce on a plot.
That's the type of game land is. A resource management game. And Land 1.5 is the easy part. It's on Land 2.0 where things become complicated, with dozens of resources and more complex gameplay.
Thanks! I just saw this morning on Discord the full list of all of the resources that will be part of phase 2.

Yep, without further explanations, it's not very helpful. Although we have some ideas what some of those resources will do.
