Challenge Theme: Explore and Expand Splinterlands Lore
How to Participate:
- Pick a Lore Topic: Visit the official Splinterlands lore site at lore.splinterlands.com and choose a character, faction, or event that resonates with you.
Expand the Story:
- Write a short story, poem, or character backstory that expands on an aspect of the Splinterlands lore. Use your creativity to fill in the gaps, imagine new adventures, or explore untold histories.
Submit Your Entry:
- Share your creation in the comments and on social media using the hashtag #Splinterlands.
Ideas for Lore Expansion:
- Create a backstory for your favorite character.
- Write about a secret mission or hidden conflict between the factions.
- Imagine the origins of an important event in Splinterlands history.
- Develop a new legend or myth tied to the world of Splinterlands.
Tips for Success:
- Be Creative: Let your imagination run wild—there are no wrong answers in the world of Splinterlands lore.
- Be Engaging: Draw readers into your story with vivid details and dynamic characters.
- Be True to the World: Use the existing lore as inspiration but feel free to add your own twist.

Challenge Details
Submission Deadline: The deadline for submissions is 2 days before the post pays out. This is to ensure that our curators have enough time to review all the entries before the next challenge is posted. Your punctuality is appreciated!
Formatting Help: Need help formatting your post? Check out this ULTIMATE MARKDOWN TUTORIAL.
Tagging: Don't forget to tag your post with #splinterlands and #play2earn to ensure it's part of the challenge.
Share on Social Media: Share your post on any social media site of your choice. Make sure to include links to both your HIVE post and the social media site you shared it on in the comment section of the challenge post.
What you earn: UPVOTES! Participants who follow ALL the rules will receive upvotes from the @steemmonsters account.
Voting Quantity: You can get a MAXIMUM of 2 upvotes per week, per human. Please limit your entries to TWO posts a week. Take your time, make your posts awesome, and impress us with your Splinterlands skills!
Fair Play: Anyone found using more than one account to enter the contest will be muted in the community and banned from all curation and the possibility for participation in future contests.
Please note: Upvotes are not guaranteed and are up to the curator's discretion.
Manual Curation
Splinterlands/steemmonsters is all about community engagement, and that's why we're manually curating (upvoting) your posts! We have an amazing team of community curators, and official team members also have the 'powers' to upvote! We work together to try to upvote in order of entry. Sometimes we get a couple of days behind, just so we can let the VP heal in order to give larger upvote values. So, make sure you drop your links within a day or two of posting so we can get to it.
Curators are rewarded with higher upvotes on their posts and are allowed up to three per week, rather than two. This is our way of saying "Thank you!"
