RE: Hive Financial Statistics – 2022.02.15

The other problem is too sheer laziness. Many people jumping into crypto without learning even the most basic things. Even a good friend of mine, has been in crypto for 3 years, and he didnt even bother to do 1 hour of research to know that you NEVER use text-based 2FA for his exchange accounts. He also didnt know what a seed phrase was. And he almost fell for the scam text saying his account needs to be "verified". Almost lost all his money due to pure laziness. So I spend 20 minutes going through all, the basics with him to make sure he didnt get scammed, but many folks are just as lazy but do not have friends that have been in crypto for over a decade like me...and those people, many of them will be scammed due to their carelessness.

I am not saying the guys who got their HIVE accounts hacked were lazy just to be clear, I do not know the situation with the recent HIVE hacks, just saying in general this is often the case.

Yeah, people jump in and want to make quick money, but do not care to protect their earnings.
Unfortunately, this leads to good opportunities for scammers.
