It's hard to nurture Indonesian Community and the number amazes me because I feel we have lost more than half of users in the last few months. Our community is not a solid one, we divided into several smaller groups which have conflict of interest and I think it won't change in the near future. I can't blame others because I am part of that cause too.
I believe each community has their own unique problems, not just us. However in this bear market not much we can do because of the resources.
Currently we see some new and returning Indonesian users in actifit and hive open mic. We are trying to embrace them and we hope from those two community we can plan some ways to get more Indonesian users.
Communities do not have to unify across a whole country. As long as people have others they want to be with we can build communities. Countries are just a convenient way to group people, but the lack of metadata makes that hard to do. Hive is so small now that a few people can make a big difference.
We don't get rewarded directly for building communities, but it can pay off in various ways. I'm having fun and meeting up with fellow Brits is part of that. We've lost various people too, but some may come back.
!PIZZA for fellow Indonesian!
