Introduction
I started compiling these lists in December 2020 to continue something @pennsif used to do as I think it helps bring the community together. Since then I have found lots more people to include. @HiveSQL has been really useful for this. I use Python with beem (by @holger80) in a script to generate what you see here. Some of the post is manual as I like to include some commentary and I will keep tweaking it. I am open to suggestions for improvements. I aim to do a fresh list on the first Saturday of each month.
I also rely on the community to let me know of more people to include who may not have obvious account metadata. You can find me in the @teamuksupport Discord to discuss it or drop me a comment.
Those based in the UK can use the #teamuk tag for an extra vote. If you see people using it on non-relevant posts then drop them a friendly comment to point out that is not encouraged.
The list will include anyone living in the UK as well as Brits who have moved abroad. Inclusion on this list does not mean I recommend people, but I will remove accounts if they are known to be abusing Hive or are falsely reporting their location. If you have lost control of your account through phishing or other means then let me know so that I can update your entry.
The code to produce this post is on Github. People are welcome to use it for their own regional version.

What it means
The numbers above are for those who had posted or commented in the previous month. In the lists below I break each region into three lists:
- Active as above.
- Just voting. I will guess that a lot of these use automatic votes, e.g. HiveVote. Previously there were some that appear to have been compromised as they vote for known abusers. Those are now excluded until I hear that they have recovered control.
- Inactive in the last month, but most have done something since Hive started. We can hope to bring them back.
I want to count people rather than accounts as some have several. I can include those in brackets if you want. Let me know if you want me to update your listing. You can be as specific as you like about your location. Otherwise I will use what is on your profile.
Commentary
There is a small improvement this month. I found a few people to add after my holiday and a couple just moved to the UK. The more we have the more viable it is to organise meetups. Just find some people who are local to you and set something up. If you let me know then I will publicise it.
The fact that only 13 of the active people joined in the last year shows we have some work to do on recruitment.
A couple more people levelled up to Dolphin last month. If you are still starting out then you may qualify for support from @tenkminnows, so get in touch.

We are deep in the bear, interest in crypto is low. We do need to work on our uptake. Hopefully the hive movie reaches non crypto users and gives some a nudge

Nice! I just managed to sneak in my first post in many months before you posted September's list. I was convinced I had missed the deadline to show as 'active and alive' and would need to be patient until October [where the hell has 2023 gone???]
49 dolphins huh? Gonna sneak to 50 before the next list I think, my journey has been a slow one but I own it nevertheless. Having said that, the time is now for this Northern, whippet chasing brit to move to the next level.
Abso-bloody-lutely! I have always maintained that I would rather the 'right people' come in steadily, rather than a tsunami of new accounts that fall away as quickly as they join BUT yes we are at an incredibly slow rate.
However, something I have observed is that people always say bear markets are an issue when it comes to attracting new users, investors, developers and community champions...
When recruiting is done via word of mouth, we should be telling people that THIS is EXACTLY the time to join this stunning community... You have time to try out the interface, understand how everything works at leisure and it is a FABULOUS time to grow quickly and quietly when those motivated purely by gain are waiting in the wings for a price rise to jump back in.
I am gutted I have not been able to post while things have been a tad quieter, I feel it is a time to foster amazing friendships and engage in genuine discourse with people further down the line with answers to the burning questions we have in the early days.
Never did I think I would have travelled to attend amazing meetups and meet some of the glorious shining lights from the #teamuk community but I did and have made some amazing memories and friendships to boot!
I was gutted when @pennsif didn't transfer across to Hive with most of the UK peeps, I felt we had lost a lynchpin with regard to Brit promotion and coordination, however the role you have performed in the vacuum left behind is MASSIVELY appreciated Steve... Thank YOU!
I always read the names from each region when the list is published just to see how things are going regionally and nationally, I actually read the raw data like it is the next chapter of a novel I have waited for.

Hey! I live in hope that the numbers will grow. I am gutted that we lost some people along the way and @pennsif is a sad loss as he made some enemies here by siding with the wrong people.
We do have a core of good people who are prepared to organise events and I think we will see more happening. If we can introduce more people at meetups they may get a better start. I think that with the way other platforms are going then Hive may seem more attractive. It is my main social platform.

Hive or most crypto probably fades from the mind of the regular person in the bear market as the hype just isn't there to drive hive into peoples viewports.
This is why I think Hive needs to be about more than just earning. People use other platforms for no reward because the content and experience are compelling. We need that too.
Does posting include commenting?
I see a lot of people that do just that and appear in that section which I wouldn't really consider the same even that you can get voted for it.
I count commenting as posting as it means they are actually looking at Hive and not just auto-voting. Some may be using Threads or Waves that make use of comments. I just had to find ways to checking for different types of activity.

I see there are a few others in Nottingham as well, that's awesome. I might not be able to attend meetup this month but in subsequent editions, I'd be down with it.
You could try tagging some local people to see if anyone is interested in meeting up. Some may not want to travel far. Even 2 people getting together in a pub counts as a meetup. I have done that before.

Well I moved to dolphin in August and then 6k HP that was my highlight. I don't see an end to this low crypto prices, so we need to do some alternative marketing to get people in.

Thanks for the mention mate and it’s a shame the numbers are in decline at times. I think the sense of community here is very good though and it works well as a blog. I often share my posts with “outsiders” and they do at least read it and comment in person when I next see them. I think the blockchain element goes over their heads at times.
We need ways to sell the idea of Hive apart from the earning. Independence from billionaire owners ought to be a plus.
