Jeff, because you brought it up (I am not saying this for the sake of judgment) I'm merely trying to provoke thought and feeling. I attribute one of the factors to the spiritual shift that I began to go through in 2015, to ending my consumption of traumatize, murdered dead flesh. It only took a matter of months before I began to come much more self aware, compassionate and conscious... not just overall, but particularly for the suffering of their beings. I urge you, if for nothing else just to challenge yourself, to go animal flesh free for a month or 2 and see how you do. I went about 8 years without eating any animal products at all but I do consume some dairy and eggs now. It was very difficult for me to start consuming animal products again but I did it because I was listening to what my body was telling me.
