Since the beginning of our Community Curation Project back in 2018 we've accepted either Delegations or Liquid HIVE Contributions from members. It's always been a choice, however the intention has always been to get our members building up a stake in Hive and moving toward a position where they could preferably choose the delegation option. Delegation shows a longer term commitment to SGS and Hive overall and it is generally easier for me to manage too. We got to the point where all but one of our members were delegating...and that last member who was contributing liquid HIVE each month has just dropped off. So it's a good time to be asking - "Do we even need that option any more?"

In the context of what appears to be a building Bull Market for Hive (we have more than tripled our price in the last 2 months!) I also am asking myself whether it's an option that we should be even encouraging when faced with a potential influx of new interest in our ecosystem and community.
So, for now I am unilaterally suspending the Liquid HIVE Contribution for Precious since nobody is now using that option and I think it's important that we remain focused on supporting the SGS Members who have been loyally supporting our project with delegations through the Hive Winter. We do still have a few members who are delegating on behalf of others and that is still fine. I was going to try and formalize a sort of Scholarship / Patronage Program at some point but for now that's on the TO DO list and I feel that it's not a bad idea to keep it on the back burner while HIVE is behaving so wildly.

Agreed! Liquid payments is an odd look anyway. Delegation is direct support. Liquid looks like it could be something like bots buying even if it’s not. I support 100% the discontinuation of it!

I personally feel that "everyone" should take back "all" their "delegations" and use their Hive Power to Up-Vote "Quality Blogs"... As a Community, we need to start thinking about others and stop thinking about ourselves... I used my Liquid Hive, in order to pass out Bigger Up-Votes... Plus, there should be an Official Vote of the Members, which I will remain...
Okay... I've been thinking it over... But if I Delegate 5,000 of my Hive Power, that will leave very little from me to Up-Vote others... Yes, it would probably be in "my" best interest to do this for obvious reasons... Perhaps we should "Set" a "Limit" on how much we're allowed to Delegate... I haven't seem much growth going to "Precious" lately... It's all being drained "in my opinion"... Yes, I could Delegate and "take take take"... Actually, if I added up all the Liquid Hive I've been "giving" for the past couple years, it would be around 1,200 Hive, plus all the Curations "Precious" was able to make off up-voting my Blogs... I've given plenty, including my time... My current Estimated Account Value is about $3,000 Fiat USD's... I could have went to the Bank and picked up Three $10 Rolls of Quarter Dollar Coins and it will be what my Hive Account will be worth on the "other side" of the Reset... That would have been so much easier for me to do, if it was about "me"... I did what I did for "you"... So, what do you think of Limiting our Delegations to 5,000 of our Hive Power...??? We can use our Extra Hive Power to Up-Vote "others"... You'll still receive your "fair share"...
You have been on Gold Tier since May 2023. That's 20 months, or 1000 HIVE over a time when the price of HIVE would have averaged less than 35 cents so that's at best about $350. Today your account is worth over $3000 so I'd say you've done pretty well here.
You are very welcome to not be involved in this curation project going forward and if you want to agitate amongst the SGS membership for the changes you mention above then you are free to do that too.

The Reset is when I start selling my Gold... Don't think I haven't given the Reset plenty of thought over the years... I'm fine with taking a time out... I am expecting to return as a "Super Whale" once I start selling my Gold to the U.S. Treasury for $90 in U.S. Crypto Coinage, "per ounce"... $90 in U.S. Crypto Coinage will be equal to 9,000 of today's Fiat USD's... Until then, I'll still be passing out my usual 100% up-votes...
Well if something is bringing nothing out it's best to rule it off focusing on others that work is a great idea
