RE: Lost City of Atlantis Silver Round

Yeah, I find ancient civilizations, mythical or real, to be intriguing.

I hope you do it is a wonderful hobby, at least to me it is. This particular piece is actually a round and not a coin. A coin typically carries a fiat value, like your pocket change. A round is made just for looks and precious metal value. I didn't know this particular fact until I started stacking silver on top of my collecting. Learned it fromthe Silver Gold Stackers Community here on Hive.

So the Morgan silver dollar that I bought when I was ten was a coin and not a round. I always wondered if there was a difference between the usage ofv the two terms. So when you're deciding on your next purchase, I imagine you weigh all of that (looks and precious metal value vs picking up a coin) when you decide which one's a keeper? Very interesting.

among other considertations, yeah.

In the end, I just love to collect and read about the history behind the coin, the portraits and content on the coin, designers and their stories etc.
