That’s not a mint error, there’s no way the back would be that perfect if the press caused that to the obverse. I’d still have someone check it but I’m like 90% positive on it.

Interesting, yes I would assume there would be damage to the back as well. Perhaps this is just a damaged quarter. I appreciate the evaluation! I'll follow up with what the forum evaluation comes back with, it may turn out to be nothing but a damaged quarter!
It only makes sense the two plates press into each other how could one produce that on the front without any damage to the back? 👍
