I wonder if the world would be the same had the Europeans, specifically the British, Spain, and Portugal, NOT gotten the gold of Africa, South America, the Pacific, and Asia; if those treasures were not plundered.
The half penny shows the numismatic in you! I have very few old coins that are not silver.

The world could be a very much different. Development always follows capital flow and perhaps the world's concentration of wealth could have been much more decentralized than what we have today.
