You are going to laugh, but as I was reading your description, I found myself reaching down to my right side mimicking the motion so I could get a feel of what you were talking about. It makes a lot of sense seeing the photos. I totally get the awkward lean you were talking about. The grip in that first photo makes it look like you shoot this gun quite a bit.

Well done man, it's great that you did that as you get what I mean a little better. I wasn't sure my explanation would translate to others well. It's that sideways lean that's the problem, it all takes time and time is critical.

Yes, this is a field gun not a show pony and it gets used a lot so is a little battered but it keeps on going and going. It's one of the most reliable firearms I've had.
