This is so neat to see you take pictures as a traveler and nature aficionado of Red Rocks, CO. I spent 2 years living in this area and have seen many famous names in EDM perform in this venue. I definitely took the surrounding park for granted, as I spend most of my time there tailgating in the lower South lots and dancing near row 32 (my favorite place to view a show).
Also quite remarkable natural phenomenon in Colorado are Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs and The Black Canyon in Gunnison. Happy travels!
Oh cool! That would be so nice to see a live event there. Well, at least I got to see a huge show on Empower Field in Denver (Illenium).
Garden of the Gods and Black Canyon were awesome! I visited them both, posts are coming in the future. The trip to the garden of the gods got cut short tho due to severe weather.
Wow, I had no idea you came stateside for the Trilogy show. I'm a big EDM guy myself (chief editor of the EDM media co & blog moonlvnding.com). My partner and I watched the full live stream of that Trilogy show -- I really enjoyed the live guitar from Dabin for that Excision collab "Gold" and the third "live set" was super cool. Illenium will be here in Brooklyn, NY July 14, but I think I saw enough on the stream that I won't buy a ticket to go in person.
Glad you got to go to those other CO landmarks. I lived about 5 minutes from Garden of the Gods for over a year, so I hiked through those trails a bunch of times. Colorado weather can be a bit wild, but the good news is that it usually blows through quickly.
Yeah, the trilogy show was the main reason I traveled to CO from Europe. I had never seen a dubstep show and I was no longer unable to put off seeing Illenium. So I figure why not go on his biggest show! Decided to arrive some 6 days early to explore CO at the same time.
The live show was amazing from the start till the end!
I did see enough too but I would go again. Met some people from Texas there. They told me that they will go again in Texas too. I guess I have a chance to go in Europe, London or Amsterdam too in the fall but I doubt I will do it.
