RE: Forest skiing on weekend Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

I have never tried nordic/cross-country skiing, only downhill, and that not since before my 2007 accident and back injury. How would you rate it for stress on the lower back? Obviously there's less risk in taking a spill when you aren't flying down a slalom run.

In my opinion first of all before any activity you need to warm up. The second point that if you skiing first time on some rout you can never know before which stress rate is waiting for you coz maybe it can be some slopes and ravines. By the way maybe tomorrow I can get to another one place for skiing. Finally if to talk in general I think yes in cross-country skiing it's more safely than in slalom.
