These certainly qualify as torches (we don't call them that here, but I love that term!). I found the little keychain light very handy, it is so much brighter than the comparative ones on the market. Some of the larger ones like the Warrior (oh, wait, I have another) actually have a staggered bezel and would serve quite well as a defensive weapon. It's a very powerful light and will also easily temporarily blind an attacker.

When I was living in Taiwan, we always had torches 😁 at home, and headlamps in our bedside cabinet in case of earthquakes which happened occasionally.
Yes, very handy during power outages during quakes and such. Here we have the hurricanes and tornadoes causing most. I also keep at least one or more in the car for emergencies at night.
