A ton of my content here is about film photography so seeing a whole community about it is awesome. My posts about analog are gathering more interest recently, so I really hope this community grows and more people can show their work and we can share experience.
I’ve never confined myself to one style or topic of shooting so I do a lot of different stuff
I’m starting of the posts here with a jump. Skate and film go hand in hand for me. Both raw and rough, sometimes messy and with variable results :D
Spirts on film is also quite tricky and challenging so that can keep you intrigued. Skaters usually want to shoot their best trick or highest jump so often times they are going to need a few tries. Having skated before helps quite a lot cause you can see when a trick is failing or there is someone crossing the scene. Basically the more you know skating the more you know when to press the shutter and when to save your film. Also you can understand the athlete’s skill and know how to showcase their skill in the “best of light”
Do you shoot any sports? I would love to see other photographers work and results.
I hope you all have a nice day and I wish this community a ton of growth :)
Thanks a lot @qurator Team !
You're welcome!
You totally froze him in motion... Great shot!
ackhoo! You are in all the cool places here. Thanks a lot for the curation!
😊👌
I do not have an analog camera, but I can process the raw file to get the desired effect. It will be interesting to watch your results here.
I can't believe that :D In Bulgaria almost every household has a Zenit of a Fed somewhere hidden alongside the rest of antiques they don't feel like throwing away. I started shooting film with my mother's Zenit ET That my grandfather had given to her. Also there are tons of compacts here in every flee market. I think the hard part is developing your film. Black and white is kinda easy at home but color film is super demanding and requires some investment in a processing machine and free space at home. Are there places that still process and scan film around your home? I live in Sofia and luckily there are many places here but smaller towns dont have such service.
It’s not that I don’t have a film camera. I have both a FED and a Zenith, and even Chenon with a zoom lens.
Apparently I'm too impatient. Having shot something on a digital camera, I can immediately begin processing. This is important and interesting. Using a film doesn’t work out that way. I live in St. Petersburg and there are many laboratories. But I'm not ready to deal with film yet. Maybe in the future :-)
Lovely! We’ve featured you on @analogfeatures. Thank you for sharing your work and excitement!
