HELLO EVERYONE: WELCOME TO VIBES WEB 3 MUSIC COMPETITION WEEK 29♥️
The theme for this week is 90s Music, I am Kemisolasings I am so excited to be here again this week , and my special appreciation goes to our Judges : @verbal-d and @lordbutterfly for bringing me this opportunity, God bless you all.

Getting a song from 90s seems to looks easy but Its so overwhelmingly difficult for me to find out any song for days, finally by God's grace I was able to get "His Eye on Sparrow" by Lauryn Hill and Tanya Blount.

About the Song:

The Original song "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" is a classic Christian hymn that was written by Civilla D. Martin in 1905. Looking in-depth we get to know that The song's lyrics are based on the Bible verse Matthew 10:29-31, which says:

"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."

This song's expresses the message of comfort, reassurance, and trust in God's love, protection and Providence. If our God cares for even the smallest creatures, like sparrows, and therefore, He will also care for us.

I remember when I was passing through some tough phases in my school, Everything doesn't seem to work, the only solace and place of refuge was in the Lord, and He surely came through, he have Never fail me.

Lyrics of the song

[Tanya Blount:] Why should I feel discouraged Why should the shadows come Why should my heart feel lonely And long for heaven and home

When Jesus is my portion
A constant friend is he
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know he watches over me
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know he watches me

[Lauryn Hill:]
I sing because I'm happy
I sing because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow

And I know he watches me
[Tanya:] He watches me
[Lauryn:] His eye is on the sparrow
And I know he watches
[Tanya:] I know he watches
[Lauryn:] I know he watches me

[Lauryn and Tanya:]
I sing because I'm happy
I sing because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow

[Lauryn:] And I know he watches me
[Tanya:] He watches me

Powerful presentation. Like how you hit those high notes ☺️

You have a beautiful powerful voice, and this song suited you well

However I have critiques to give you for the future

My feedback is meant to help and encourage you, so please keep that in mind

This entry would have been better if it was one full complete uninterrupted take,
an unedited live performance with not many different takes/tries pieced together

This is like a compilation of your best takes, but when you really focus and practice, the live performance will become second nature and you'll be able to perform it all the way through without mistakes, or very few

I think I counted at least 6 different spliced video clips to make this one performance, the transitions weren't smooth, the audio was cutting and choppy, making it very noticeable, which interrupted the listening experience for this wonderful song you sang

Memorizing the lyrics, especially for a song of this tempo and length would benefit you as well, instead of holding the phone and looking down periodically, maybe that would help to reduce the amount of takes as well.

Overall, I really enjoy your vocal dexterity, vibrato and soulful control, but since you are already a previous winner, I have higher expectations for the potential you can display with your God given talent.

God bless

Oh thanks so much for the Correction and observations, I honestly haven't properly scored the song to perfection,
I would definitely do better In my next entry,
Much appreciation and Love❤️
