Hello to every musician and music lover of this wonderful ever growing community, what's good? This is Stefanovah and as usual I'm here for week 13 of Vibes Web3 music competition... This week there's no theme so i've just gone with this hip-hop drill song. I've left it really late once again but I really hope everyone gets to see it, especially @verbal-d @marica @lordbutterfly , it just might be my day.
I sampled a famous hymn in this piece, so I'm not really sure if it's a cover or it qualifies as an original. Either way, the hymn talks about making it to heaven, and I just expressed my position on that in these verses... With the exception of the background vocals, this was sang live as seen in the video, and I had a great time working on it. I hope you like it.
Lyrics
Till I see You face to face
My heart will beat for You always
Cos you've been so good, you've been so kind
I am blinded by your grace
Till I see You face to face
My heart will beat for You always
At the end I will be right there with You
Back home by your grace
Heaven is the goal and I ain't gonna be distracted
To be with you for life eternal my God will be my greatest achievement
Heaven is the goal and I ain't gonna be distracted
When the roll is called up yonder I'll be there
When the roll is called up yonder (3x)
When the roll is called up yonder I'll be there
I'm a soldier who's at war and the earth's the battlefield
It is not my home so at the end I'm going back to the
I'm a soldier who's at war and the earth's the battlefield
So at the end of my days I'll be marching back to heaven's gates
When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound and time shall be no more
And the morning breaks eternal bright and fair
When the saved diverse shall gather over on the other shore
And the roll is called up yonder I'll be there

Well, that's all folks... See you in week 14, I'm off to learn a Sam Feldt song 🚶🏽♂️
@stefanovah
Oh this is definitely considered an original
With a nicely sung chorus at the beginning plus verses that are lyrical
You kept the rhythm on the rapping tight which is for me extremely important
You were flowing and running full throttle like a sure sprint
Just some constructive criticism to help you along the way
Your beginning singing chorus was nice and smooth, sampling the hymn
But the doubling up recordings at the end for the outro was off beat from one another
from 2:27-to the end
It happens to me too at times, when you double or triple on a recording, it has to be the exact same timing and delivery
Also for the melody on the chorus
when layering the tonality for harmonies and listening experience, try blending the notes more or trying a different harmony combination and pick from the best of them
Sometimes creating multiple harmonies will help you see and hear what works best for an original song
Try panning your recordings for the harmonies left and right so it is not direct full centered
It gives a cool effect. Hope you use these tips for your next entry
This one was probably your best one yet and you are improving! great job man, I love to see that.

Thank you so much man, I'll be sure to take all these into consideration for future entries
You're very welcome
