RE: Returning To Eve Online

in Hive Gaming19 days ago

EvE Online, to me, was quite a fun idea. One universe, players everywhere, chance encounters, no idea of what laid in the next system in low - null sectors and generally the attitude of the community. I've given it a few replays myself recently but just cannot get into it as the time I spend playing it now feels miniscule to players / corporations that have been floating around New Eden for years.

One thing I found exciting was the exploration / scanning for anomalies or unique sites hidden in the space between. The Omega subscription is harsh in its restrictions and the fact that any 'exclusive' skills are locked once the subscription runs out is a bit of a game killer for me.

Still, the stories that have sprung out of EvE Online have almost always been worthy reads from excellent scams to total robbery of digital assets.

EvE Frontier will probably spawn some more stories that affect more than the game.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and rediscovery of EvE Online! It was smart to spread out the assets amongst alts and just recover them later.

I'm tempted to check out Eve Frontier at some point. For now I'm just sticking with Eve Online. CCP Games has also had so many failed game attempts it make me want to wait a while before checking into Frontier.

Small corp activities is where I tend to find most of my fun in the game. A long time ago I even lived in a wormhole with a couple of people. Anything bigger then just a couple always seemed short lived. The power and wealth of those old alliances are crazy.

Exploration is quite fun. At some point I might go around on some big exploration trips. For the short term I only did a couple exploration site sin high sec. Usually just to finish off the daily. Even had one site have 22 million in a can. Which I was not expecting for high sec.

It is a bit of a shame to plex for 30 days is something like 3.2 billion ISK now. I use to just buy the plex for the game time.

I ended up picking up a nice little deal for some game time. Beyond that I'll be doing a decent amount of stuff as a alpha.

Always kind of fun to return and see all the stuff I’ve missed. Play a little bit. Then go back on another long break. As they say people never quite Eve Online. They just take long breaks lol.
