The problem with this console is that it needs to use the ARM architecture. The x86 architecture is getting hard to scale up on a limited thermal package, such as in a handheld console. If Sony does use ARM on a new handheld that would be revolutionary and would destroy the Switch in terms of performance!

For now I have not seen any console using ARM, only those cheap “Android consoles”, mostly phones have been using ARM. Apple is transitioning from x86 to ARM on their computer so that could kickstart an “ARMs race” (pun intended)
Oh snap, you’ve got me! I just searched it up and the Switch indeeds uses arm already! I thought it used “Nvidia Tegra”, which was Nvidia's attempt to make mobile gaming platform.
