This is a third-person shooter platform video game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for PlayStation 2 in 2002.
The game follows the anthropomorphic character Ratchet as he encounters the robot Clank on his home planet, Veldin.
Clank discovers that the villainous President Drek of the Blarg race plans to create a new planet for his species, while destroying other planets in the process.
Clank convinces Ratchet to aid him in his mission, enlisting the help of the famous hero, Captain Qwark.
In this exciting intergalactic adventure, we are immersed in a universe full of exotic planets, outlandish weapons and endearing characters that invite us to embark on an epic mission full of action, humour and fun.

I have Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart in my bucket list and I might try it someday soon. This old version looks as cool as the new one. I guess peoples of that time when the first one got released, liked it too much.

I loved this franchise on the PlayStation 2 and played the first one A LOT. I bought a used PS3 that came with 20 games and one was the first PS3 Ratchet and Clank game. Sadly, I never got a chance to play it as life got busy and now I have no idea where the game is.
Such a great franchise.
