“Twisted Metal” is a series of vehicular combat video games created by David Jaffe and developed by Sony Computer Entertainment.

The first title in the franchise was released in 1995 for the PlayStation console and quickly became a classic, gaining popularity for its intense gameplay and focus on destruction and mayhem.

The game centers on a vehicular combat tournament organized by a mysterious character named Calypso, who offers participants the opportunity to fulfill a wish in exchange for their participation.

Players choose from a variety of vehicles, each with its own combat style, weapons and special abilities. Characters are unique and often have intriguing backstories, adding a narrative element to the experience.

Gameplay features frenetic combat in three-dimensional arenas, where players must destroy their opponents using a combination of weapons, melee attacks and evasive maneuvers.

The arenas are varied and filled with obstacles and power-ups that players can use to their advantage.

Over the years, “Twisted Metal” has had several installments and spin-offs, each expanding the gameplay and narrative of the series.

Notable titles include “Twisted Metal 2” (1996), which introduced new characters and scenarios, and “Twisted Metal: Black” (2001), which offered a darker, more mature tone and improved gameplay.

In 2012, a reboot of the series simply titled “Twisted Metal” was released for PlayStation 3, which combined classic elements with new mechanics and improved graphics.

Although the series has been relatively dormant since then, its legacy lives on, and many gamers continue to nostalgically recall the excitement and fun it offered over the years.

“Twisted Metal” remains a benchmark in the world of video games, standing out for its mix of action, dark humor and vehicular mayhem.

On the PS1 it was my favorite saga, the PS2 one I also played a lot but I don't know why the PS3 one I feel it went unnoticed, at least for me. Although today the saga is already a little dead, I still think it's a great concept and I'm a little sad that it's been lost. Going around the city with each car with a different weapon was great.

El de la play station 1 también era de mis favoritos, que tiempos... Siento que el de la ps4 está muy, no sé, le faltan gráficos a los entornos, parece que el de ps3 se vé mejor

A question of time, maybe the years passed and you had other priorities, but it seems to me that the saga kept its charm in all its versions.
