For many people, the Startup, or beginning of our game consoles, has left for some reason, a feeling with a very special meaning, mainly speaking from the PS1, and following all this line of generations until today known PS5, that startup screen that every time we hear brings to mind some memory, some special videogame, or some stage of our lives, and today, I want to share with you each of these Startup, make a trip in time, giving a small impression about each of them, and tell you the one that has been more special for me, and its reasons.
A very good first impression is always important, so the startup has a much deeper and characteristic meaning in each of the PlayStation versions than we could imagine, and if you never thought about it, I'm sure you will understand it here.

Para muchas personas, el Startup, o inicio de nuestras videoconsolas, ha dejado por alguna razón, un sentimiento con un significado muy especial, principalmente hablando desde la PS1, y siguiendo toda esta linea de generaciones hasta la hoy conocida PS5, esa pantalla de inicio que cada vez que oímos nos trae a la mente algún recuerdo, algún videojuego en especial, o alguna etapa de nuestras vidas, y hoy, quiero compartir con ustedes cada uno de estos Startup, hacer un viaje en el tiempo, dando una pequeña impresión sobre cada uno de ellos, y contarles el que ha sido más especial para mi, y sus motivos.
Siempre es importante una muy buena primera impresión, por lo que el startup tiene un significado mucho más profundo y característico en cada una de las versiones de PlayStation de lo que podríamos imaginar, y si nunca lo habías pensado, estoy seguro que aquí lo comprenderás.
In its beginnings, PlayStation basically handled the format of its games through CDs, so when we inserted one of these discs in our game consoles, we expected that emblematic sound to appear, which gave the PS1 an imposing character, a sound that we listened to for several years and that somehow, nowadays, we could relate it to good times and classic games like Crash Bandicoot, Tekken, and Tomb Raider, although at the time, the greatest relationship we gave it, was that of absolute entertainment.
If we listened to this sound we knew that next would come a very pleasant lapse of time, being children, teenagers, or of any age, the feeling was the same, and even more when that white screen with the Sony logo, would give way to a black background screen with the PlayStation logo, which indicated that the reader had read the video game correctly, as it was normal, that so much use we gave them, the discs were scratched and began to fail. This was the first and one of the most amazing Startup that PlayStation has given us.
En sus inicios, PlayStation manejaba básicamente el formato de sus juegos a través de CDs, por lo que al introducir uno de estos discos en nuestras videoconsolas, esperábamos que apareciera ese sonido emblemático, que le daba a la PS1 un carácter imponente, un sonido que escuchamos por varios años y que de alguna forma, hoy en día, podríamos relacionarlo con buenos tiempos y juegos clásicos como Crash Bandicoot, Tekken, y Tomb Raider, aunque en su momento, la mayor relación que le dábamos, era la de entretenimiento absoluto.
Si escuchábamos este sonido sabíamos que a continuación vendría un lapso de tiempo muy agradable, siendo niños, adolescentes, o de cualquier edad, la sensación era la misma, y más aún cuando aquella pantalla blanca con el logotipo de Sony, habría paso a una siguiente pantalla de fondo negro y con el logotipo de PlayStation, que nos indicaba que el lector había leído el videojuego correctamente, pues era normal, que de tanto uso que les dábamos, los discos se rayaban y empezaban a fallar. Este fue el primero y uno de los Startup más asombrosos que nos ha regalado PlayStation.

Maybe in a few years, we will be remembering this Startup and relating it to great titles such as God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Ghost of Tsushima and many other titles that will make us remember these very good times.
PS4 se ganó el respeto de muchos de nosotros, un Startup básico pero innovador, transmitiendo desde un primer instante lo que no obtuvimos con PS3, quizás los recuerdos con este Startup son muchos más frescos, por lo que en escancia, la apertura al encender esta videoconsola nos transmite actualidad, alta resolución, respeto, madurez y muchos deseos de sentarnos a disfrutar con nuestros amigos, o familiares; la varilla quedaba muy alta para una futura PS5, por lo que PlayStation tendría que ingeniarse no solo para dejar en inferioridad de consideraciones a la competencia, sino para engancharnos como clientes potenciales, observando que los juegos en 4k ya eran una realidad.
Quizás en unos años, estaremos recordando este Startup y relacionandolo con grandes títulos como God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Ghost of Tsushima y muchos otros títulos más que nos harán recordar estos muy buenos tiempos.

Sinceramente, PS5 se lució con su Startup, logrando una correcta transmisión de sensaciones futuristas, en donde no hay espacio para lo antiguo y solo resta la innovación, una primera impresión que enamoró y que sigue conquistando muchos corazones gamers hasta el momento, luego de su reciente lanzamiento en noviembre del 2020.
Una videoconsola que hasta el momento comparte muchos de los videojuegos con PS4, por lo que estoy seguro que en un futuro, tanto PS4 y PS5 nos traerán recuerdos muy similares, dos videoconsolas que se diferencian básicamente por su calidad gráfica, aunque evidentemente involucra otros diversos aspectos.

Habiendo probado todas las videoconsolas y conocido sus respectivos Startup, puedo admitir que PS2 logró cautivarme de una manera incomparable, básicamente lo que más me gustaba jugar era Medal of Honor: Vanguard y Pro Evolution Soccer en cualquiera de sus versiones, escuchar el Startup de esta videoconsola trae de inmediato estos dos juegos a mi mente, incluso en pleno 2020 llegué a encender mi PS2 (cuando aún la tenía) y me dispuse a jugar en la madrugada a Medal of Honor, recordando todas las experiencias vividas con este gran objeto de diversión de sobre mesa.

Cool write up mate. Playstation is a great console from my past as well. So much nostalgia in the startup for PS and PS2 but I never went further than that as the PC became my dominant platform. I think the most memorable experience on playstation was the Resident Evil series. They were soooo scary to me as a kid hahaha I couldnt get enough! ahahah créeme que no fuiste el único en hacer eso, incluso en la ps2 me llegó a pasar, por eso luego terminé comprando 2 memorias de 32MB, eran de baja capacidad pero servían un montón, que buenos tiempos, saludos!
The startup was one thing but the ever impending fear of the PlayStation going to that menu screen if it didn’t manage to read the disc is what I remember the most. Absolutely horrible.
Something similar to what we did with the N64, we would take the cartridge out, blow on it a couple of times, plug it in and it would boot up, with cds I used to take them out and give them a quick wipe with the shirt, but that ruined them too over time.
How good it is now to handle everything digitally, more practical and our games are not ruined.

Tienes razón, yo quedé traumado con el glorioso sonido de la PS2 al iniciar, era tan hermoso, jajaja, también me ponía de nervios ver si algún CD no servía, o sea, yo metía el CD y esperaba a que diera ese hermoso sonidito y así sabía que aún servia, no se si me entiendes jajajaja, saludos hermano, buen post
créeme que te entiendo, me pasaba exactamente lo mismo, esa era la forma más tonta de rayar los cds, los sacábamos y limpiábamos lo más rápido con nuestras camisas jajajaja, no cuidábamos las cosas, aunque bueno, eran muy baratos esos juegos, no recuerdo bien, pero creo que menos de 1$ si era PS chipeada, saludos bro!!

me encanta la ps2 y ps3 por que en esa fue que empece a jugar god of war.
el gran God of War, nunca lo llegué a terminar por estar jugando al PES 2011, pero era un gran título, con muy buenos recuerdos.
Concuerdo totalmente contigo amigo, los Startups de PS1 y PS2 eran muy geniales, en mi opinión creo que Dreamcast se basó en la Startup de la PS1 para hacer la suya, porque se parecen en algo, un inicio lento con una melodía alargada y suave. Pero bueno, nunca se olvidarán esos momentos de tensión esperando a que leyera el juego que más nos gustaba seguido de un momento de total relajación xD. Buen post bro! cuídate mucho
Técnicamente si, Dreamcast tenía cierto aire en su startup, a excepción de las letras de entrada, me paso varias veces que iba a jugar algún título y me daba con la sorpresa de que el cd ya no servía, incluso le echaba hssta alcohol jajaja, varias veces tuve que salir a reponer el cd porque estaba jugando con más amigos, que recuerdos, saludos bro!
