Hello Hive friends, today I will tell you my experience with God of War for PC, which I played while it had been missing. I discovered the God of War saga by pure chance, I remember going to buy PS2 games in the center of my city and grabbing any game that had an eye-catching cover. I remember that the cover of the first game showed Kratos fighting a minotaur and I grabbed the second one because I had already played the first one, which I loved for its gameplay. I think it was the first game of that style that I had played.
Sadly, I had to leave the saga there because I did not have the opportunity to play the third installment, which for me is the most striking, since you finally face the main gods. I was hoping to be able to play it on my PC, but sadly it would run very slow for me. I hope at some point someone I know has a PS3 and can play it or have a more powerful PC.
Then, I finally got to play the fourth installment, which I loved. Also, I had already seen all the gameplay and the whole story on YouTube, just like the third installment, thinking that at no point I was going to have the chance to be able to play it. But that was not the case with the fourth installment, which I'm going to talk about.
Despite as I mentioned before knowing every detail of the game and every side mission, being able to see and control Kratos chopping down the tree, which is the beginning of the game, got me pretty excited. I did have a little problem with the image looking dotty, but that I was able to solve.
I guess most of you already know the whole story of the game and such, but I'll still do a little introduction. After cutting down the tree, we learn the significance of it, which was to be able to incinerate Kratos' partner. When we arrive at our home, a boy named Atreus awaits us, who is our son and will accompany us throughout our adventure. The emotional moment of the two of them saying goodbye to their mother and the other to his partner arrives.
As the days pass, an unknown individual arrives home, which will be Baldur. He tells us that he knows our secret and Kratos panics. Then everything gets more tense and a fight breaks out in which we can see that Kratos is no longer as agile or it costs him a little more to defeat his enemy. This battle cost me a bit, since I have no control and it took me a bit to get used to Baldur's attacks.
Then, as the story progresses, you find out that the tree that was cut down at the beginning was part of a barrier protecting them from the Norse gods' detention and it seems that it was all a plan on someone's part.
The gameplay of this God of War seemed pretty good to me, even though I was playing with mouse and keyboard, which, in my opinion, is a little more uncomfortable than playing with a controller. But little by little I was adapting. Of course, the ability to throw the axe was the one I used the least in the whole game or practically didn't use it at all. On the contrary, the shield counter for me was the most useful skill of the game, since I always liked this type of skill in any game that has such a power. So much so that I was able to defeat several enemies, more specifically the gatekeepers, which now I don't really remember the name, with a purple bar and the skull sign. This meant that in one hit they would take down all your life.
In addition to this ability, Atreus, who would be the son of Kratos, also has a tree of powers, which for me the most useful is the one at the beginning, which is like blue. With them you can weaken an enemy faster making this you do a traditional O that here would be pressing the mouse wheel and you can split him in half, that is, as an instant death.
One of the sections I enjoyed the most was the Valkyrie, I enjoyed them as much as I could. I really found them much more difficult and it was where I had the hardest time defeating an enemy. In my case, I think it was with the third Valkyrie, since I didn't understand how to dodge one of her blows. Then came the queen, but in my opinion it was much less difficult than the previous one I mentioned. Similarly, I did not find the final boss difficult, which would be Baldur, since when I faced him, I already had one of the strongest armors for me, which was one of those in the mist section. You know that when the bar is green of an enemy, it is that it will not be someone who will be difficult for you to defeat, so it happened to me with Baldur. I've always been like that, do everything secondary and then get all strong against the main story.

I really enjoyed this game despite knowing everything that was going to happen next, because even if you do that playing it yourself is a whole different thing. If anyone has the chance to play it, I recommend it. Mind you, I would have liked more side quests or more bosses. I think in the installment after this one, which would be Ragnarok, they extended the game a lot more. I hope to be able to play it someday. Hola amigos de Hive, hoy les contaré mi experiencia con God of War para PC, el cual jugué mientras había estado desaparecido. Descubrí la saga de God of War por pura casualidad, recuerdo ir a comprar juegos de PS2 en el centro de mi ciudad y agarrar cualquier juego que tuviera una portada llamativa. Recuerdo que la portada del primer juego mostraba a Kratos luchando contra un minotauro y ya el segundo lo agarré porque ya había jugado el primero, el cual me encantó por su jugabilidad. Creo que fue el primer juego de ese estilo que había jugado.
Tristemente, hasta ahí tuve que dejar la saga ya que no tuve la oportunidad de jugar la tercera entrega, que para mí es la más llamativa, ya que te enfrentas por fin a los dioses principales. Tenía la esperanza de poder jugarlo en mi PC, pero tristemente me iba a correr muy lento. Espero que en algún momento alguien que conozca tenga un PS3 y pueda jugarlo o tener una PC más potente.
Luego, por fin pude jugar la cuarta entrega, la cual me encantó. Además, ya había visto todo el gameplay y toda la historia por YouTube, igual que la tercera entrega, pensando que en ningún momento iba a tener la oportunidad de poder jugarlo. Pero no fue así con la cuarta entrega, de la que voy a hablar.
A pesar de como ya mencioné antes conocer cada detalle del juego y cada misión secundaria, al poder ver y controlar a Kratos cortando el árbol, que es el principio del juego, me emocioné bastante. Tuve un pequeño problema de que la imagen se veía con muchos puntitos, pero que pude resolver.
Supongo que la mayoría ya sabe toda la historia del juego y demás, pero igual haré una pequeña introducción. Luego de cortar el árbol, sabemos el significado de este, que era para poder incinerar a la pareja de Kratos. Al llegar a nuestro hogar, nos espera un niño llamado Atreus, el cual es nuestro hijo y nos acompañará en toda nuestra aventura. Llega el momento emotivo de los dos despidiéndose uno de su madre y otro de su pareja.
Al pasar los días, llega un individuo desconocido al hogar, el cual será Baldur. Nos dice que sabe nuestro secreto y Kratos entra en pánico. Luego todo se pone más tenso y se arma una pelea en la cual podemos ver que Kratos ya no es tan ágil o le cuesta un poco más vencer a su enemigo. Esta batalla me costó un poco, ya que no tengo control y me costó un poco acostumbrarme a los ataques de Baldur.
Luego, a medida que avanza la historia, uno va averiguando que el árbol que se cortó al principio era parte de una barrera que los protegía de la detención de los dioses nórdicos y parece que todo fue un plan de parte de alguien.
La jugabilidad de este God of War me pareció bastante buena, a pesar de que estaba jugando con mouse y teclado, lo cual, a mi parecer, es un poco más incómodo que jugar con un mando. Pero poco a poco me fui adaptando. Eso sí, la habilidad de lanzar el hacha fue la que menos usé en todo el juego o que prácticamente ni la usaba. A contrario, el counter del escudo para mí fue la habilidad más útil del juego, ya que siempre me ha gustado este tipo de habilidad en cualquier juego que tenga un poder así. Tanto fue así que pude derrotar a varios enemigos, más específicamente a los cuidadores de las puertas, que ahora realmente no me acuerdo el nombre, con una barra morada y con el signo de calavera. Esto significa que de un solo golpe te bajaban toda la vida.
Además de esta habilidad, Atreus, que sería el hijo de Kratos, también tiene un árbol de poderes, el cual para mí el más útil es el del principio, que es como azul. Con ellos puedes debilitar más rápido a un enemigo haciendo esto que le hagas un tradicional O que aquí sería presionando la ruedita del mouse y puedas partirlo a la mitad, es decir, como una muerte instantánea.
Una de los apartados que más me gustó fue la de la Valkiria, disfruté todo lo que pude. Realmente me parecieron mucho más difíciles y fue donde más me costó vencer a un enemigo. En mi caso, creo que fue con la tercera valquiria, ya que no entendía cómo esquivar uno de sus golpes. Luego vino la reina, pero a mi parecer me costó mucho menos que la anterior que mencioné. De igual forma, no se me hizo difícil el jefe final, que sería Baldur, ya que cuando me enfrenté a él, ya tenía una de las armaduras más fuertes para mí, la cual era una de las del apartado de la neblina. Uno sabe que cuando la barra es verde de un enemigo, es que no será alguien que se te hará difícil de derrotar, así mismo me pasó con Baldur. Siempre he sido así, hacer todo lo secundario y luego llegar todo fuerte contra la historia principal.

Realmente disfruté este juego a pesar de saber todo lo que iba a pasar después, ya que aunque uno haga eso jugarlo uno mismo es una cosa totalmente diferente. Si alguien tiene la oportunidad de jugarlo, se lo recomiendo. Eso sí, me hubiera gustado más misiones secundarias o más jefes. Creo que en la entrega después de esta, que sería el Ragnarok, extendieron el juego muchísimo más. Espero poder jugarlo algún día. Juegazo con todas las letras. Siempre que veo a alguien hablar de él, recuerdo lo emocionante que fue la primera vez que lo jugué. Aún recuerdo uno de los combates con las Valkirias, creo que son los mejores combates del juego a nivel de mecanicas y dificultad.
Es curioso que sea más facil jugar este GOW que el de PS3 xd, también probe emularlo hace un tiempo y el consumo que tiene ese juego en el emulador de PS3 no es normal jajaja.
Me pareció de igual forma las Valkirias realmente eso fue lo que me envicio mucho mas al GoW intentar cada día tratar de derrotar a cada una de ellas y pensar en algun tipo de estrategia contra ellas. Siiiii el consumo del emulador es una exageración, pero algún dia espero poder probar el GoW 3. Gracias por tu comentario <3
You took down the Valks too? I’m currently on the 6th Valkyrie in Hel. I’m playing on the highest difficulty so, yeah, it’s a bit tough.
I think the one that cost me the most was the third one and despite playing on a much lower difficulty than you, they also cost a lot but you more hahahah. The good thing about playing in that mode is that I guess the sastifacion is bigger. Good luck with Queen Valkyrie<3
Este es un videojuego increíble. Sí, el que juega el primero se engancha para jugar el resto de la saga. Mi hijo es bastante fan de este personaje y su historia. Buena reseña amigo.

Si lo pude jugar en mi pc, realmente nunca pensé en tener la oportunidad de jugarlo ya que al principio era solo exclusivo para PS4 así que me tuve que conformar con ver Gameplays en YouTube y luego bueno lo sacaron para PC, así que no desaproveche la oportunidad y lo jugué, valió totalmente la pena. El GoW es un juegazo y lo jugamos prácticamente a la vez, me acuerdo cuando te bajabas Valkiria tras Valkiria, un capo.
Me diste ganas de empezarlo de nuevo haha, pero por cuestiones de tiempo voy a esperar y jugaré otras cosas que tengo pendientes.
Espero te mantengas por acá, todavía tenemos que jugar algo.

yes sadly you need a machine to be able to play powerful games, if I could you can too, at some point for sure you will have a machine, something funny that happened to me to already have my pc is that before not having it I tried any kind of game and wanted to play many, which clearly did not work, but now to get this pc I have now that can run most of the games, I could not even think of a game to play or try HAHAHAHAH. Well I would recommend you to play the PS2 GoW, since one understands the history of those that follow without having to play the PSP and tlfn, but if you want to get into depth I would advise you to watch a YouTube video, but as I said for me it was not necessary to play the others only the PS2 GoW, sadly the 3rd I had to watch videos and this good I played it on my pc, and in my opinion I did not feel at any time lost regarding the various mentions of the other games.
