Greetings, only 4 months of this year have passed and we are already starting to talk about the Goty of the year, for those who do not know it is the most important award given to video game developers, I think it is too early to start talking about the Goty of the year, but there are two of the most anticipated video games that will be released very soon and everyone thinks it is the Goty, I'm talking about Final Fantasy XVI and Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, both open world games, RPG, exploration, wrapped in a fantasy world, certainly there are similarities between both games so a comparison doesn't hurt, certainly there is a big difference in these two games, the art mechanics and the graphics, these differences separate these games a lot.

Final Fantasy is a saga of video games developed formerly by Squaresoft a Japanese company that I remember with much affection since in PlayStation I had the opportunity to try many of their video games, for that time is a brand was a symbol of quality in the development of video games.
Zelda is a saga of video games developed by Nintendo itself, hand in hand with Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka they carried out feats like bringing a 3D game on the Nintendo and planting action RPG mechanics from its beginnings to the present.
Both companies are about to deliver their new titles that correspond to their respective sagas, Final Fantasy XVI and Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and it is beginning to be assumed that either of these two titles could become the best game of the year 2023 in their trilogies, both games have shown their mechanics, animations, art and other features that show the quality with which they are being developed, these games have a development time this game is being developed since 2019 until the pandemic stopped its development but in 2022 it was already announced that they were about to finish its development, this year is its final release, the sequel to Zelda Breath of the wild began its development once the first game was finished with the advantage that it is using the same graphics engine with some updates, it is speculated that this game is being developed since 2018.
But both games do not arrive in the same conditions, Zelda comes from a game that laid the foundation on how should be the exploration of an open world, with solid mechanics and a world that opens as your character grows in skills, this game was a success in its release and even today is still much talked about it, while the main numbered saga of final fantasy comes from failure after failure, being Final Fantasy X its last offline success, excuse me but I do not think that the Online games that change the mechanics by MMORPG are worth mentioning in the main saga since these games are aimed at a different audience than the consumed Final Fantasy, but the good news for the saga began to arrive with the development of Final Fantasy XV, YES you read well XV because this game should a real technical leap in what could become the new games of the saga, making precedents, really this game was not a success far from it, but the developers now had something to continue their games.
After the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake at last had the complete formula, Final Fantasy XVI It is shown as a more adult game, which we have been asking fans for a long time, with mechanical scenarios and art that leave mouths open to many of those who have been able to see the trailers.
Huge enemies, being able to use the innovations in battle, amazing scenarios, the use of the chocobo of different color for the different areas, borrowing mechanics from previous installments, but with that identity that characterizes them, as you can read so far I think Final Fantasy XVII for being a breath of something new is more deserving of the Zelda award, without taking away merits to Nintendo, but it is time for a new change of console that allows them to exploit the technical power of its developers.
The only way for this game not to win the Goty is for GTA VI to come out this year, write it down.
