The biggest problem with movie games is often they're written to a draft of the movie so end up not being the same as the movie. Usually a movie game made AFTER the movie is more accurate to the movie. That being said, no excuses for Godfather II given how long the movie had been out.

I do enjoy the nostalgia of some games but the more I think about it the less I think using an emulator is ever going to give you that true feeling you got from the old games. N64 is the classic example because NONE of the controllers out there mimic the N64 correctly. You'd have to get an actual N64 controller to be able to give you true N64 nostalgia.

As for graphics, I've NEVER gotten my jollies with game graphics. In fact I think game graphics get in the way of good games. More effort goes into the graphics than into the gameplay and storylines.

You can actually buy N64 controllers with a usb output in order to give the emulators a more authentic feel!

I think a lot of movie games are often uber crap anyway. What I really enjoyed about The Godfather 1 game is that it never placed us as the main guy in the story, but rather a bystander. Although there were some movie moments that in the game our protag was responsible for.

For instance he was the one that killed Paulie and was the one who killed the head of the other families. But other than that the game was pretty faithful!

And don't worry about the multiple replies! Happens to me sometimes too!

Ooh, I’d love to get one of those controllers. I’ll have to find them online because New Zealand is pretty crap for this sort of thing.

You should check out amazon!
