This is a pretty good game, I had great times playing 😊

I enjoyed MK II much more than the first one, even then though, it was more for my mom. I did get into Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and the one where they took on the DC universe. I really liked those two.

I can easily see why people enjoy Mortal Kombat II, I was just more a Street Fighter II fan at that time myself.

Hi Carl, nice to meet you, wow, this Nes version looks very similar to the Game Boy when it came out and with many cool elements. It's incredible how dedicated people take an old game and make magic with it, just as it has happened with MK Ultimate, which has incredible versions.

I really liked the video, certainly the game still has things to fix, but it looks great. Greetings friend, good post 🤜🤛... You Rockkk!!!! 👍😎🔥🎮❤️

Nice to meet you too. The developers behind the Game Boy version did a pretty good job. I agree, I see a lot of similarities between it and the NES version here.

I cannot imagine the talent and problem solving skills it takes to do this type of thing with a console like the NES. Most are doing it with no official software development kits, just information others have shared and as a community discussed pulling together a knowledge base to work with. Just amazing.

Thank you for watching the video. I truly appreciate that. I hope the future content I have planned is of interest to you as well.

Stay amazing, my friend. 🥰

wow! I felt a lot of nostalgia when I saw your post, this was one of the games I used to play with my sister when I was little

I was only a fan of Mortal Kombat II because my mom, she was sick at the time and passed away not too long later, was infatuated with the fatalities, particuarly, Jax. She liked when I could pull off Liu Kang's animality too. I enjoy the game and certainly respect its place in history.

I love covering things like this because I know there are others that enjoy them and at the end of the day, that is what I like doing, making others happy if I can.

It never ceases to amaze me what modders are capable of. This is incredible!

Modders can certainly make us do a double take regularly. Just look at all of the different variations of Super Mario 64 we have gotten in the last couple of years since they were able to decompile it and get better access to the engine and underlying code.

I love seeing these types of developments though. It answers the "what if" for some games. What if Mortal Kombat II was released on the NES, Atari 2600, 3DO, etc. Consoles that obviously were never financially viable to release a title like this on, at least by large companies, are ripe for fans to do it.

Retro gaming can be an absolutely magical place.

This looks very impressive, definitely the people who make this type of ports for less powerful consoles are wizards.

They truly are wizards! I barely can get "Hello World" on the screen in BASIC yet developers like this are porting a complex game to a complex piece of hardware without any official help.

Then the fact they are getting results like this.

That is just mind blowing.

Oh wow! This looks awesome!

I agree. It looks super impressive considering the hardware it is being ported to. The concessions they are making are logical too which is a breath of fresh air as most demakes like this take liberties with the source material.
