And I am losing interest
As stated in my last post, the society had given an ultimatum to move all plants from roof top and I had no other option. At one point, I thought, I would just take everything to my native, but then they allotted a small place in the front garden, which I could use. Given that this was at least a breather, I decided to see if this would work out permanently. Moving so many pots was not an easy task, so I had to hire two people to move almost 50 pots / containers.
I made sure to be personally present and look after how they move these with care, so that no harm is done to the plants. It was like I was part of the three member team - delegating the heavy lifting to these two people. Taking pots to the ground floor at one stretch and then taking them again to the front garden, took almost 2-3 hours. But given that these are our society workers, they charged reasonable amount. Hiring external people would have cost me a lot more.
Before taking the curry leaves plant, I cut out the stems , as my wife had asked to prepare a hair oil, in which it was used. Will post about it in another post, but the main reason to cut was I knew they won't survive in the public place.
This is how they were put up - the roof top was giving lot of freedom to these plants as well as easy for me to work. I could drag them and nurture, but here they had to be kept like orphans. Given that this was the best option I did not loose heart and determined to give them proper care.
And they did not disappoint as well. Giving them the right care, makes me happy, but its a lot of work, because I have to lift each container and bring to the open area and then again keep back. It was a lot easy on the roof top, just drag out and move in - no heavy lifting.
I have found out two places, one here and one at my native, to prepare the organic Jeevamruta using the cow manure - the cow must eat grass. It's a bit of work, but what disappoints me is that, people are mercilessly taking the flowers, as its kept in a public place. This makes me rethink if I should continue doing this or stop for ever. They have said NO to take them back to roof top, so this is my only option. Though I complained to the society and they also feel bad about it, its difficult to prevent such irresponsible people steal flowers. It takes countless hours of blood and sweat to grow these lovely flowers, but when someone mercilessly takes them all, leaving the plant bald, it gives a big pinch. I am not able to decide if I should give up and stop pursuing my hobby, but if this trend continues, I will probably move them forever to my native place. One other option that the society has given is to encroach the area with some kind of boundary but that also is going to cost a bit in terms of time and money. I will be watching this season, and decide next steps by end of this winter, but honestly I am loosing interest. Watering these plants is not easy as well, I had to put up some extra pipe for that, but taking the pipe near the pots itself is difficult. It is manageable now, as its needed once in 2-3 days because of winter. But in a month or so, will have to water them daily. So lot of cons at this new place - if this becomes more burdensome over time, I will have to find out an alternative or put this to end.
One other option is to take over the responsibility of entire area, and manage the garden, but that's a huge task. It would require lot of time and commitments, but will explore that as well.

First they tell you cannot have the flowers on the roof and when you move them to another place, people start stealing them :( I´m so sorry to hear this man. People are so ungrateful. If I were you, I would probably pack them all, put them on a truck and move them to your native place where nobody would try to spoil your gardening efforts...
At one point I feel that, its so frustrating, will have to take a decision by this winter ends.
I see. Hopefully, you will make the right decision. The decision that will allow you to continue your inspiring gardening project. You shouldn´t give up on something that you have worked on so hard and been so passionate about. The flowers are your joy, don´t let them take it from you ;)
that is a very frustrating situation man i really understand you :/ this is hard
That's a fundamental problem of flats/apartments. In the long run, you should look for your own horizontal space which would further make up your vertical space so that you can have absolute freedom to do whatever you want.
True, but the land price is at a sky rocket level and even apartments too, I could never buy even the apartment :)
I wish you own your horizontal space in Bhubaneshwar in 2025, assuming 2025 to be the next bull cycle in crypto. Crypto assets will grow faster than the land price, so maybe the next bull cycle could fulfill your dream. I wish you all the best.
It is really difficult to take care of trees like this, if the trees were on your roof everyone could take care of them. But you can keep trying without getting discouraged
Well, I was only taking care on the roof, but at least there was very bleak possibility of people stealing the flowers.
It is really painful and sad to bring so many tubs from the roof. But it is true that we have here if the owner is not present during the work, the worker neglects the work and often causes damage. Anyway best of luck to you and your garden.
Let's see how it goes.
@tipu curate
Great passion ☺️

For some reason, I have a strong love towards plants.
Glad that they have relocation. Still, it might take a lot of work taking care of them at their new place.
true.
A great selection of plants. They need some extra fertilizer, it looks alright !
I did not leave your hobby friend for people who do not value the effort of others, I understand your frustration but giving up should never ever be an option. Very soon you will be able to take them to the roof again and there they will be safer and your work to move them will cost you much less effort.
That is why , it's still going on.
so friend continue with your dream forward
That's really frustrating. But it seems nothing can stop you with planting.
I have so much love with plants too. I admire your passion with gardening.
How sad @sanjeevm. And after how carefully you have cared for them. I hope you find that despite the big responsibility that the possibility of taking over the gardens will work!
Good for the moments that you have been able to find a place to have your plants, although from what you are telling us now, other inconveniences of people arise: how to pluck the flowers from their plants
:( awwww, that's too bad how some people just steal the flowers!
The hair oil make from curry stem sounds very interesting..
😊🌈🌷🌻 Hope u can figure out just how to deal with it all,
So you basically got trapped between handling the garden and losing your gardening as a whole... Heck that seems like a move from the people of the building, sadly...

I am not happy hearing that some of the plants were stolen which is not appropriate at all despite the time and dedication in taking care of it seems like a waste of time.
Yes, I feel like the same.
Why will the society do that
Some other residents created mess by putting up pots and not maintaining them well, so they did a blanket ban, for all. They were ok with my set up, but there is no way they can allow some and deny others.
The situation you explain in this post is a real downer. Having a garden, especially one of your magnitude, takes a lot of nurturing, and unless you can provide them with the same attention as you have done in the past, it may be impossible for them to flourish.
I feel terrible for the predicament you are in and hopefully, you can resolve this problem. It would be a real shame to have to give up a hobby that you have become so passionate about.
Good luck.
Ya, I am exploring possibilities, its emotionally difficult to give up.
I bet it is.
My dear friend really very amazing your home garden. Most important is you are really more Hard work do regarding your gardening. Keep it up
Covering the roof like a greenhouse seems like a good idea
But they are of the opinion that it may cause damage to the roof, so no plant allowed.
I am very sorry that everything turned out this way, changing the place and placing them in a place where people vandalize the plants is not good.
Perhaps you should invest time in them taking them to your home of origin, there they will be well cared for and your family will enjoy the beautiful flowers of your plant
I hope you find a favorable solutionHello dear friend @sanjeevm good day
The problem with taking them to my native is that, there is no one to take care. I visit regularly in 1-2 weeks, but they will need care every day or every alternative day.
That is a big problem, the plants do not survive without watering in summer
I hope you find a more viable solution.
I really like gardening too.. don't worry keep it up

That sucks you had to get them off the roof, but looks like their new home is good and they should be well taken care of.
