RE: A difficult infertile field can be very rich in adventure and challenges #gardenjournal

It's this view that gives me so much strength, I like to dream of all the colors of the future blooming herbs and the sea in the background! Sometimes I fall asleep with this thought :)
We are planting local herbs: dittany, marjoram, oregano, rosemary, lemon verbena, lemon balm, lemon grass, sage, thyme, rockrose, helichrysus, rose hips ;)
I would also love to have some trees apart from existing olive trees and carob trees, maybe a couple of linden trees and a laurel tree... Any suggestions are more than welcome!!!

Thank you so much for your beautiful message!

Sounds gorgeous. I would love a linden. You.should try ashwagandha.. it grows in dry soil in India and I found it has done well. It's such a good adaptogen. Not local of course!!! I will definitely come visit if we ever get to Greece!

Ashwagandha is an interesting idea!
First step is to work with local plants and next step is to experiment as much as we can and have fun :)

You are more than welcome anytime!!!

Wishing you good fortune and all that leads to it.

The place looks awesome. It reminds me of the Canary Islands a bit and of another thing as well. In a book by Stephen King there was a description of a farmland plot the owners had named Son Of A Bitch. I guess there will be lots of tough negotiations but herbs might be the native thing that fits there.

Son Of A Bitch, really??? I couldn't stop laughing when I saw it!I love it!
Although I think I need a sweet name, you know to flatter it, to try to soften it up and see how and if we can work together:))
But truth is that Son Of A Bitch is so suitable right now that I can't get it out of my mind, haha!
Thank you @manoldonchev!

Yup, true story, it was in Wolves of the Calla, book 5 of The Dark Tower saga.
