RE: Annual garden - August update

in HiveGarden6 months ago (edited)

Oh my so much going on!

Tomatoes are such a touchy thing. They take so long to fruit and dont complain until it is too late. This year, I was diligent about pruning bottom and superfluous branches off for more airflow and it seems to be working. Liquid soluble fertalizer every couple weeks and this one is about to turn red.

Man i have jalapeno envy too. Last year they grew huge and plentiful and this i have only harvested 1 so far.

You may have inspired me to craft a garden update of my own this week!

They sure do seem to want special conditions, well good you got yours under control. I should try pruning off the dead leaves, probably would help. And we are using something called cal-mag for them. So hopefully that helps.

Luckily our peppers are doing great, I think they are jalapenos. Wish I labeled them better.

Hah nice, best of luck with the post.

Haha that is my annual conundrum! I plant them and then eventually forget which is which! This year we have a half dozen varieties of tomato and it is like a guessing game to see which is beefsteak. brandywine or even roma!
