We have someone else do Jovi's nails too. What I have noticed is that they cut far less off than I would think needs to be cut off. I am guessing that is what usually leads to people cutting them too short. The good thing about hair is it usually always grows back! Unless your past middle aged like me!

I'd like to think that based on lots more experience they know better than I do where the quick is. When I look at my dog's nails I think that they are probably about twice as long as they should be. This is how you end up making a bloody mess on the floor and traumatizing your dog as far as the cutters are concerned. It's better left to the professionals methinks.
Yeah, I totally agree. I don't even try. It definitely feels like there is way more than there actually is and then you end up cutting too much. Not worth it at all.
Nadi's hair grows at an exceptional rate so yeah, we'll be back in the game before you know it!
If I can ever open my heart to another dog after Jovi, I am definitely going to look into a non-shedding breed. These weekly tumbleweeds in our house are nuts!
take your time on that one pal.... it makes me sad to even think about that.
I hear ya!
