Looks like a very fun trip. I was somewhere not long ago where the hotel had a baby elephant that would interact with the guests. It was a major attraction for the hotel but is that even legal? I'm not judging you, I'm just curious.

Hi @gabe.radke. Ok so there are a few things to consider about the whole elephant tourism thing. Legality aside it's more about ethical individual choices. Doing anything to support the animal tourism industry for elephants is wrong in my opinion as the breaking of baby elephants for domestication is barbaric. That baby elephant would have been thru the process for sure. Visiting a refuge where rescued elephants live peacefully at their own leisure is the best. But of course what can I say to my 8 year old niece when she sees other kids playing on the beach with that elephant...:(
