I just want to add: Mori is also known as cotton fabric. When you make batik or celup ikat (another traditional surface textile technique from Indonesia), you must use 100% cotton fabric or another (mostly natural) fabric that can absorb water. Most "cotton fabric" in the market has been mixed with polyester which is water-resistant. So if you want to make your own Batik (which is slightly easy as long as you have batik wax) make sure that you choose the right fabric.
