RE: Freestyle LEGO Fun

in LEGO3 years ago

Sorry I totally seemed to have missed this comment! Apologies!

Our son is a bit older than that, they really come into their element at around 4 though! That's when he started to figure out how to assemble the small bricks. Now he's making all kinds of cool stuff. We made a police station the other day it was awesome! He's into guns right now so he's building all kinds of interesting lego guns lol

I hear you on that! I waited 3 years before we tried and it was okay but he would get frustrated he couldn’t handle the small bricks. For a while it was the big ones which was totally fine lol. Now I can’t keep lego in the house unopened! He’s always scouting around the house to see if we brought in any new lego lol.

We’ve been using lego as a reward for getting his school work done which is great. If he finished a full week of his work then he gets a new lego set. It’s been pretty good motivation for him, although he’s missed a day here and there. I haven’t been a stickler about every single day just yet but he’s doing good so it’s a win for both of us. I get to play lego with him and he continues to learn lol

No worries - it can be hard keeping track of all the notifications - I have a system where I go through mine but even then sometimes I can miss 'em.

Yeah - he's 4 in a few weeks time so Lego here we come - wohoooo!!!

Interesting about it being a reward for doing school work. My son is too young for homework so we have all that to come too. I can imagine me using that one though (at least then I get to benefit too by playing with lego!)

I know @stickupboys are also a big lego fan!
