How does one approach the most beautiful woman in the world?
What to say to her?
Do I compliment the perfectly parallel spaces between each tiny tendril of her nares, and the precision in which they rest upon her bill? But certainly she is aware of how lovely they look on her. In fact I just heard some peasant in the crowd whispering about how she keeps a small comb and mirror under her wing and checks and smooths her nares after each rustle and sift through the autumn leaves, each dig in the dirt, each daring tussle with a trespassing neighbor.
Do I remark upon how the feathers of her lores cascade from the ring of her eye to the crease of her bill like a waterfall in an enchanted elfin forest? Or does she already know how each silken thread sparkles in the misty morning light of Main Street?
Should I go right up to her and tell her that she has gemstones for eyes and a silver bill and a velvet cloak of contour feathers that form a shape so enticing that even the thought of being allowed a single caress is enough to make any grown crow weep?
Or is that over the top?
I wouldn't want to embarrass her.
I just want to see her smile. Hear her sing. And give her a peanut.

Just beautiful!
Now what kind of comb would a crow call to use?
Probably something like a teeny tiny mustache comb? I've never seen it, though. A lady like her never reveals her beauty secrets.
😂, those have little handles too. I just pictured the whole thing. Always keep those beauty secrets secreted away. (shhh...don't tell anyone but one of mine is frogs, they taught me something special).
You mean you puff out your neck really far to make it easy to pluck those neck whiskers? Cuz that's how I do it. Unfortunately my chin waddle has become a bit stretched as a result...
Whaaaa?! You've really got me now, I cannot puff out my neck. Also, I tend to lack hair, minus the mound on my skull.
There's a yoga pose for that, but it can scare people if done in public.
😂I do an exercise on road trips. Big grin, jut out the chin, then kissy lips. Back and forth until my face gets sore or until someone passes me, whichever comes first. Then repeat when I remember.
LOLOLOL! I just tried that and my face won't do it. I do like this one of roaring like a lion while sticking tongue out as far as possible and holding that for a minute, just not around other people.
Good catches ! The contrast between the photographed target and the background, make these images have a lot of character in itself.
Thank you! She's got a lot of character, too.
Beautiful… don’t have to add more.
Great captures @corvidae 🖤
Thank you @littlebee4!
You are welcome 😎
Lorena os beautiful :) ... I see you decided against going to the Yukon for the winter???

Thank you!!
If I go north for the winter it will be in a couple years. Have to figure out finances and such. But, yes, the crows make this place my permanent home. I love them too much to leave forever.
I don't understand how such amazing creatures can be overlooked. Reminds me of one of the stories someone wrote once for Let Our Picture Tell Your Story. It was about birds going to the city for food, and the humans not being able to see them.

Whoa, trippy.
Fortunately where I live more and more people are starting to appreciate them. But there are still many places where birds, especially super-intelligent crows, are considered pests, as opposed to equals.
I think im the city most people consider birds pests, except for the little songbirds or majestic raptors :( ...
