It's a rainy Sunday here, and there's not much I can do about it, so I've decided to dedicate this day as my "feel free to be lazy" day. :D
My morning was actually quite productive—I managed to finish my house chores and made a cheesy toast, which served as my breakfast. Then, in the early afternoon, I took a long nap because, honestly, that's all I could think of doing in weather like this. I feel like the best way to spend a rainy day is to stay in bed and get some good rest, rather than anxiously wondering if the rain will let up.
Since I accepted that it probably wouldn’t stop raining in the afternoon, I spent a few hours watching videos online.
But after a while, I started feeling bad about being completely unproductive. So, I decided to browse through my photo archive to check for images I hadn’t edited yet. I ended up selecting about 10 street photography shots and had some fun experimenting with different editing settings on them.
One of my favorite photos has to be this shot taken on Waterloo Street. It was captured on the day I visited the Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple, considered one of the most visited temples in the city. I believe its popularity is due to its convenient location and the many patrons who frequent the temple.
One of my usual street photography styles is capturing photos of passersby on the street. As a result, the people appear as blurry figures due to their motion.
I think it’s an interesting way to capture movement in a photo.
I also selected photos of one of my favorite subjects: architecture and buildings! I think I enjoy photographing buildings because it’s easy to find a suitable angle for them. This is especially true when the buildings are beautifully designed—they tend to look great in photos no matter what angle I choose.
Rainy days may seem uneventful, but they often give us the perfect opportunity to slow down and enjoy simple pleasures like photography, editing, or just reflecting on the beauty around us. It’s all about making the most of the moment, even if it means embracing a lazy day. Thank you for reading, and I hope this inspires you to find joy in the little things, rain or shine!
Nice shots bro. Like how the monochrome look see layering due to actual places have a big array of colours.. Thanks for sharing.
Good observation man! Lightroom has the option to edit each color which I find useful.
Great snaps, sod the chores, a big yes to the cheesey sandwich and superb editing
Thanks mate! Appreciate the feedback.
