Today, the community seemed especially excited as Hive’s price climbed up the charts. Multiple price pumps appear to be supporting the price at certain levels, and I bet everyone feels good about it. This enthusiasm is especially visible in the "newest" snaps feed, where the majority of conversations revolve around Hive’s bullish momentum. It seems like this is the kind of vibe users have been waiting for to feel more motivated about participating on the platform. I truly hope Hive can sustain its current price action and generate even more positive impact across the platform.
I’m also excited about this current event, and to make use of that extra motivation, I went for a walk around the city. I took the opportunity to do some street photography, which I plan to contribute to the Black-and-White community or the #monomad photography challenge.
My walk started at Beach Road, with the Concourse building as my first subject.
At ground level, there is a series of pocket gardens with stunning lighting effects on both the flooring and the garden mounds. I’ve seen these pocket gardens in the morning, but I seldom pay attention to them at night. It’s amazing how they were designed this way.
After wandering around the gardens, I decided to continue my walk along Beach Road toward the Parkroyal Hotel. I find the lighting effects on its facade fascinating, especially with the building's curved shape. I found a viewpoint that showcases the design's pattern, and it looks amazing.
The hotel entrance is decorated with a Christmas theme, which is a common trend here in the city. These decorations are usually set up as soon as Halloween is over, bringing a cheerful atmosphere to these places.
Part of the decor in front of the entrance includes vintage-looking bicycles parked here. I think they are meant purely for display and not actually for riding.
From there, I continued my walk along Beach Road and turned right toward the Haji Lane area. The alleys near the pubs were quite crowded, which is typical for Wednesdays, or "hump day," as they say.
There is ongoing construction at the intersection, but I can’t say for sure what they’re building. I guess it might have something to do with the MRT lines or a station.
As I walked around Haji Lane, I took photos of anything that caught my attention. It's a mix of traditional buildings, items being sold along the walkways, and various other random things.
It’s always refreshing to explore familiar places with a new perspective, capturing moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. Each walk offers something unique, whether it’s the quiet beauty of a well-lit garden or the vibrant energy of a busy street. I’m looking forward to more of these walks, discovering even more hidden gems in the city.
Wow I like your cover. The way the placement of the curve is nicely done to showcase the grandness of the hotel.
I’m you like that shot. Thanks!
