This is a small collection of monochrome photos I've taken which feature boats.
Above: Vivid lighting in Sooke Harbour. There was a storm brewing behind me on the western horizon. Now and then the sun would peek through the clouds and highlight the small white boats at the dock. I believe it was also raining that day.
A cruise ship at night with lights reflecting off the water. It has been a long while since we've seen the cruise ships here, and I doubt they will be back this year.
The Empress Hotel at night with lights reflecting from the calm water of the Inner Harbour.
This photo was taken at Buttle lake in Strathcona Provincial Park in the middle of Vancouver Island. Buttle Lake is a man-made lake, 40 km long. The boat at the bottom of the photo is propelled by sail and foot paddles.
Finally, I took the last photo from Johnson Street Bridge. Here you see kayaks, water taxis and two schooners: the Pacific Grace and Pacific Swift.
All photos were taken by me, @keithboone for the #Monomad Photography Challenge by @brumest and @monochromes. Thanks very much for visiting!

This photographs are absolutely mind blowing. Award wining works. I just kept looking at them. Apart from the details, the photos are so brilliantly composed and appealing to the eyes. I can't find the words, haha.
Love these. Is there any drone shot among them?
Wow, thanks a lot for that, you're very kind! No, I do not own a drone but the last two shots were taken from bridges so the point of view is slightly elevated.
Thank you, @pixresteemer!
