I'm participating in the #monomad challenge with this post.
Title: Redstarts
A pair of redstarts opted to live next to us by building a nest under the roof. They spend hours every day exploring the lawn and the rose garden for food to feed the young birds. Their nest is in a great place, shielded from views and weather. They are accustomed to our presence in the yard because their nest is adjacent to our entryway.
These little passerine birds are commonly found in human environments. They are excellent hunters who swoop down from roofs and trees to catch flying insects.
Although they are readily available to me, I don't photograph them as often as I could. Only rarely, when I watch them hunting insects, because when they capture them, they always settle in numerous different areas where I can shoot them up close.
Thank you for stopping by and supporting my content!
