Some time ago, a foreign friend visited me and I took her to visit the Caracas cable car, a must-see place if you visit the Venezuelan capital. Everything was going well until we arrived at the base station of the system, the sky began to cloud over while we were buying the tickets to go up and when we got into the cabins, the rain began to fall.
Anyway, as we went up and left the city below, the landscape full of mist seemed spectacular to me, also it gave the feeling that there were no cables holding the cabins, they looked like floating hahaha.
When we arrived it was still raining, but only a few drops were falling, so the cultural activities that are usually offered to visitors at the top, had not been suspended. There was a mime there giving his show and we had a good time watching him.
During the walk the rain didn’t stop at all, but as we didn’t want to waste time waiting for the weather to improve, we continued walking around, had hot chocolate and visited Galipán, a small town nearby famous for its flowers. When we decided to go down to Caracas a few hours later, the drizzle was still on, no doubt everything looks nicer with a blue sky, but I liked to see the foggy side of the cable car.
