Plots, gates and something more | Monomad Challenge [ENG-ESP]

Greetings black and white lovers! On a hike I recently took through a rural area, I came across many plots, gates and houses that I was drawn to photograph. The settings seemed perfect for me to make them my #monomad challenge entry, so here I share them.

¡Saludos amantes del blanco y negro! En una excursión que hice recientemente por un área rural, me encontré con muchas parcelas, portones y casas que me atrajeron para fotografiar. Los escenarios me parecieron perfectos para hacerlos mi entrada al reto #monomad, entonces aquí los comparto.

This road is very beautiful, full of vegetation and imposing mountains around. Although some places look abandoned, upon observing a little, they are not, apparently it is just carelessness of their owners who are not interested in keeping the place free of weeds, or do they use it as protection? See the fence full of vines below.

Esta vía es muy hermosa, llena de vegetación e imponentes montañas alrededor. Aunque algunos sitios parecen abandonados, al observar un poco, no lo están, al parecer es sólo descuido de sus dueños que no les interesa mantener el lugar libre de malezas, ¿o la usan como protección? Vean la cerca llena de enredaderas a continuación.

In many of these plots no one lives, they just go to work the land and leave, but there are also humble houses with their conucos (small family orchard) around them.

En muchas de estas parcelas no vive nadie, sólo van a trabajar la tierra y se van, pero también hay casitas humildes con sus conucos (pequeño huerto familiar) alrededor.

As the morning was quite sunny, as far as the tall trees allowed, the light filtered through, and the gates and fences offered interesting shadows and contrasts to photograph.

Como la mañana estaba bastante soleada, por donde los altos árboles lo permitían, se colaba la luz, y los portones y cercas ofrecían interesantes sombras y contrastes para fotografiar.

As we approached the center of this rural town, there were more plots and houses. Among the dense vegetation we could see some small and enigmatic doors like this one, what's up there?

A medida que nos acercábamos al centro de esta población rural, había más parcelas y casas. Entre la densa vegetación se dejaban ver algunas pequeñas y enigmáticas puertas como esta, ¿qué habrá subiendo por allí?

There was no time to find out, we had to continue our walk.

No había tiempo para averiguarlo, debíamos seguir nuestra caminata.

Further on we passed by a building that seemed to belong to an official entity, it had some interesting elements, for example, a fountain. On the outside there is a bus stop with benches, you don't see much public transportation around here, it is one of the shortcomings of this community.

Más adelante pasamos por una edificación que parecía ser de un ente oficial, tenía algunos elementos interesantes, por ejemplo, una fuente. En la parte externa hay una parada de autobús con banquitos, no se ve mucho transporte público por aquí, es una de las carencias de esta comunidad.

Most of the people who live here move around on motorcycles, and those with more resources in cars or trucks, everyone moves what they produce to the big cities as they can.

La mayoría de la gente que vive por aquí se mueve en motos, y los de más recursos en carros o camiones, cada quien traslada lo que produce hacia las grandes ciudades como puede.

As I said at the beginning, I found good contrasts here to photograph, not only of light and shadow, but also of social conditions. Suddenly you see a beautiful house, very well kept, and a few steps further another one almost in ruins.

Como dije al principio, encontré buenos contrastes aquí para fotografiar, no sólo de luces y sombras, también de condiciones sociales. De repente ves una preciosa casa, muy cuidada, y unos pasos más allá otra casi en ruinas.

But well, the important thing is the activity, that is to say, even with difficulties, production has not stopped, people don't give up, Venezuelans are fighters.

Pero bueno, lo importante es la actividad, es decir, aún con dificultades, la producción no se ha parado, la gente no se da por vencida, los venezolanos son luchadores.
