Whether you take the Center Regional Highway or the old highway, between the valleys of Aragua State (Venezuela) you will come across a landscape dominated by a row of palm trees, a place that is part of the Hacienda Santa Teresa, located in the town of El Consejo.
Tanto si vas por la Autopista Regional del Centro como si transitas por la carretera vieja, entre los valles del estado Aragua (Venezuela) te topas a un lado con un paisaje dominado por una hilera de palmeras, lugar que forma parte de la Hacienda Santa Teresa, ubicada en la población de El Consejo.
Famous for producing one of the best rums in Venezuela and the world, Hacienda Santa Teresa is also an important tourist spot in this area, attracting hundreds of people every weekend for the various activities that can be done here: eating and drinking, biking, horseback riding and many others.
Famosa por producir uno de los mejores rones de Venezuela y el mundo, la Hacienda Santa Teresa es también un importante punto turístico de esta zona que atrae a cientos de personas cada fin de semana por las diversas actividades que se pueden hacer aquí: comer y beber, montar bicicleta, caballo y muchas otras.
Among the many other things you can experience here is going back in time. Just go to El Consejo Station, near the entrance to the hacienda, and get on the train that is still preserved there.
Entre esas muchas otras cosas que se pueden vivir acá está la de irse atrás en el tiempo. Basta con acercarse hasta la Estación El Consejo, cerca de la entrada a la hacienda, y montarse en el tren que aún se conserva allí.
This station was part of the Great Venezuelan Railroad, which provided service between 1894 and 1966 with stops in several cities and towns in the center of the country (Capital District, Miranda, Aragua and Carabobo). The train cars are beautiful, made of wood, and you immediately feel like you are in another era, even if your clothes are modern. Up!
Esta estación fue parte del Gran Ferrocarril de Venezuela, que prestó servicio entre los años 1894 y 1966 con paradas en varias ciudades y pueblos del centro del país (Distrito Capital, Miranda, Aragua y Carabobo).
