Sobczakowa Grapa - part 1 [EN/PL] [Żywiecczyzna] #monomad

Oto pierwsza część zdjęć z przechadzki mało uczęszczanymi ścieżkami, z dala od oznakowanych szlaków turystycznych na Sobczakową Grapę (768 m), czyli wzniesienie położone nieopodal Lalik (Żywiecczyzna). Zdjęcia zostały zrobione 21 grudnia. Jeśli ktoś o moje zdrowie pyta, to są postępy - zrobiłem tę trasę już bez kul, tylko z kijkiem do pomocy w trudnym terenie. Około 11 000 kroków. Druga część zdjęć - kolorowych - niebawem.

Here is the first part of the photos from a walk along less frequented paths, far from marked tourist trails to Sobczakowa Grapa (768 m), a hill located near Laliki (Żywiec region). The photos were taken on December 21. If anyone is asking about my health, there is progress - I did this route without crutches, only with a stick to help in difficult terrain. About 11,000 steps. The second part of the photos - in color - soon.

For the English-speaking reader: photos are from Żywiec Beskids, a mountain range in southern Poland. There are several smaller mountain peaks nearby, and within a radius of a dozen or so kilometers, several more famous ones, including Pilsko (1557), Barania Góra (1220), Skrzyczne (1257). The Żywiec Beskids, although beautiful, are still not overly visited by tourists and you can find many places for peaceful hikes there. The borders with Slovakia and the Czech Republic, with which Poland shares this mountain region, are nearby. The capital of the region is the small town of Żywiec, which is known, among other things, for beer production. Many residents of Żywiec region still cultivate the old folk customs of this region. For example, always on the occasion of Christmas and New Year, colorful processions of people in costumes go around the villages and even in the town, whose costumes refer to folk beliefs. Świetny pomysł z akapitem dla cudzoziemców nie tłumaczonym na polski. Muszę to sobie zapisać i sam zacząć stosować. A tak w ogóle, solidny post i jeszcze lepsze zdjęcia (to drugie ma w sobie coś z klimatu Stalkera).
