This is my first post in the Photos Essay Community and my entry for Photo-essay contest nr 5 #Red-essay.
It is always fun to search and put in frame something that you have prompted and in this case the colour red is the main character. I have to admit I did not go out or look around, but rather searched through my photos, knowing that I have made plenty where red is predominant.
Let's start with my favourite fruit - the strawberry.
I can eat strawberries everyday, the sweet and juicy fruit is available all year round in the shops, but the best is to pick it up fresh from the garden. I used to grow strawberries in pots on my balcony. There were not many to pick, but the pleasure was bigger.
Next fruit you can recognize easily too - the cherries. Another favourite of mine. Thinking about fruit, it looks like all can be put among my favourites.
Next is some plant that I don't know what it is. I tried to search and with risk to be completely wrong, I think it is Fly honeysuckle.
Next is rose hip fruit. Have you ever tried a marmalade of rose hip?
What else, ah that young tree in autumn colours. I love that season very much -catching the warm sun rays and having the pallet of colours all around us.
Now let's jump forward to spring again and the field of poppies.
When hubby and I were looking for birds in the field near our home, that red carpet caught my eye.
The contrast between green and red.
In March we have that tradition to give martenitsa, made from red and white strings in different shapes and forms. On March 1st, that is and when we see the first stork arriving we put the martenitsa on a fruit tree, like this one.
What this post will be without a red rose? Moreover, the rose is symbol of my country.
I think to wrap it up with that last image I took when the sun has set down and the red sky reflected on the windows of our neighbours. Like fire, isn't it?
Good luck to all and have a great day!
Thank you for viewing.

Awesome photos @nelinoeva. I love them all, I love the red poppies in particular for these flowers don't grow here in my country. So beautiful, I am visualizing now carpets of red flowers, what an amazing sight!
