Yes, I put him into a jar and took 3 pictures in the morning, with better lighting - but my dad had no macro lens at the moment, and the pics were as usual, not #macro, I will make a post in AmazingNature community, but the sight was not very spectacular. 😥
My friend is not coming soon; maybe in two weeks. I communicate with her with my smartphone.
By the way - color challenge was finished, there will be no further rounds. 🤔 I remember, when I entered Hive, there was a nice funny challenge 'ABC' - we were suggested to find five different objects every week starting from a certain letter. That was so much fun all the way! 🤩
Did you know -- 17 of July was an international Smiles Day! 🧡🧡🧡
I didn't know about the Smiles Day. 😀😀😀
Do you still keep the firefly? What does it eat? Maybe I'll have a chance to catch one too this summer. 😎 I'll try for sure.
Now, I'm going to get some ice cream because your post made me ice cream hungry!
Here's what I learned: fireflies live in grass, moss, or under fallen leaves. And at night they go hunting. They are predators: they feed on ants, small spiders, larvae of other insects, small animals, snails and rotting plants.
No, of course I did not keep it, but released it into our garden immediately after I took the photo. I hoped that I would see his light in the evening, but since then I have not seen him again. 😎
Look, here is one of my photos:
I wish I could photograph him shining, but that would be tricky!
Wow! What a creature! It is shining so bright! I like the color. It's a bit scary looking too. Can you imagine it big like a dinosaur?! It could eat us.
You are a super photographer!
