Building on Hive: My 5-Year Journey Toward Growth and Impact

Time flies fast whenever I'm enjoying something. It feels like just yesterday that I signed up and made my first post, and now I've reached a significant milestone on the platform—I just celebrated my 5th year on the chain!

This has to be one of my greatest commitments to an endeavor. I just realized that the longest I’ve ever stayed focused on something has been my activities here on Hive—even compared to my real-world experiences and my previous efforts on mainstream social media apps. Clearly, Hive has had an incomparable impact on my life, keeping me engaged regardless of market conditions or past events within the community. Hive truly feels like a virtual home in this space, and I can't imagine anything else replacing it.

In those five years, I managed to create over 1,800 posts—equivalent to almost one post per day during that time. I also made more than 10,900 comments, averaging nearly six comments per day. I think that's something to be proud of because this level of activity is what helped me achieve my current standing on the platform.

There's no way to know whether this blockchain we're building will go mainstream or eventually fade away. But for now, all I can focus on is continuing to build and grow my account. I want to keep reaching new milestones—in terms of years on the platform, Hive Power growth, and activity statistics.

My next big goal is to reach a full decade on the chain, which I believe no one has achieved yet. Along the way, I also want to hit my Hive Power targets—first 50K HP, and ultimately 100K HP. To make this happen, I need to stay consistent: maintain a regular posting and commenting routine, stay engaged with the community, and keep contributing to the platform.

Recently, I’ve also been taking advantage of Hive’s price swings by engaging in arbitrage trading between Hive and HBD in the internal market. I see this as a great way to increase my token holdings, which I plan to stake as Hive Power once the bull season stabilizes. There are so many strategies one can implement to maintain steady growth on the platform.

My end goal is to convert all my tokens into Hive Power and use it for curation. This is the most straightforward way to grow on the platform. However, I need to stake more to make a greater impact—both for myself and for those I support.

I thought that you already had that much HP. I would be happy with 50-60k HP and maybe 20k HBD. But I have no idea how long it will take.
