I believe the Reblog feature is a powerful tool because it allows users to share someone’s post with their own followers.
Agreed. Although, sometimes when a follower goes on a reblog rampage I use the "Exclude Reblogs" feature on PeakD. Otherwise it is difficult to find and read current follower posts.
Not long ago, I read a post where the author mentioned being annoyed when the people he followed reblogged too many posts, eventually leading him to unfollow them.
I think that's the downside of people reblogging too much content... the feed ends up feeling too cluttered.
The norms on Hive are different than lecacy social media. I find myself having to constantly recalibrate because I use Reddit and Facebook for local civics journalism, and Twitter for some niche communities and Hive promotion.
On legacy social media, people would almost never block someone for retweeting or sharing, that's an almost inconceivable concept.
Tipping bots here seems have fans and detractors.
I forgotten how mainstream social media feels like as I've spent the past 8 years in web3. I just recently got into X to share links but that's it.
Regarding tipping bots, you're correct with your observations, some dislike it because they find it a nuisance 😢. I was constantly using them before but doing it less nowadays.

Yes, a balanced approach to creating original content and sharing content by reblogging would be nice.
Exactly! 👍
