Hi @kevin1273 on Olio di Balena community there are rules to follow posted on the main community page that are similar to many rules in many other communities on Hive.
Your posts must be original not copy pasted from other sites.
Why don't you write in your post that you got the review from this site?
If your post contains 99% text that is not yours + an Italian translation of text that is not yours:
you should cite the source
you should decline the rewards
By the way, it is disrespectful to the reader not to cite the source because you are mocking the reader who thinks you wrote the text.
Write a comment in your tweet in which you put the link to your Hive post and it is okay.
Otherwise you have not complied with community rules and have taken rewards earned with 0 effort by stealing content written by others and passing it off as your own
Hi @hivewatchers thanks for this list, one of the main rules of the Olio di Balena community is original content and fairness and we have downvoted several accounts in the past but it is not easy to check all the accounts that post in this community and that is why I value your work useful for Hive
together with @fedesox and other members of Olio di Balena who love Hive will try to control more the new accounts that post in the Olio di Balena community
Hi @kevin1273 . I agree with what @libertycrypto27 wrote, and in addition to being more than in agreement with what he expressed, finding your expedient to say the least unpleasant and disrespectful, not only of the rules of the group, but fundamentally of all the members of the same who behave honestly, to add something that, given your response, I think you missed.
Such behavior is not only against the rules of the whale oil community, but against those that are basically in force across the entire platform, and I fear that, if you continue to take this path, sooner or later you will run into unpleasant consequences
By the way, taking a look at your profile, I see that reviews like the one reported above are the master, and I would not be surprised, therefore, that the practice you have implemented in the reported post is recurrent
With this I do not want to, neither reprimand you, nor teach you anything, but simply warn you that such behavior, even if it may seem like an easy shortcut to increase your earnings, could lead you to lose them completely, in addition, of course, to completely lose credibility.
Having said that, obviously consider yourself free to behave as you see fit, but also accept the consequences that will follow.
You are a relatively new account and I think that no one is perfect and that is why I think everyone should have a second chance to understand their mistakes and to change the way they do things.
Before I acted on you I waited for your response which is however unsatisfactory because stealing content and making readers think it is yours is not a nice action humanly not only on Olio di Balena community but on Hive and in so many legislations in the world.
according to your rules I will obey I will no longer write in the whale oil group I am sorry
You are free to do what you want on Hive because there is no censorship here but if you want to get rewards in Hive you have to start writing your own, original content and I think it's only fair that you rehabilitate yourself by going the non-punitive but re-educational route provided by the groups that control the content on Hive.
Plagiarism is the copying & pasting of others' work without giving credit to the original author or artist.
We would appreciate it if you could avoid plagiarism of content (full or partial texts, videos, photography, art, etc.).
Similarly to many other fraud-abusive accounts that you upvoted, you may be losing curation rewards by keeping upvoting your scam account because the rewards on these accounts are removed.Hello @fedesox
I can't manually check every single account to see if it's legit, brand new and lower rep accounts get proportionally lower upvotes anyway, I got notified just today by my moderator @libertycrypto27 about this one.
Hi. Thank you for your reply.
Do these accounts need to send & of rewards to "balaenoptera" to get your upvotes?
I have noticed that they have this set up.
It’s a percentage set by default on a shared community account, those funds are powered down and used to reward authors who participate in the contest #untobisunto with a weekly topic and pinned community poll to choose winners.
Upvotes have nothing to do with the beneficiary and authors are free to remove it as they please.
Setting balaenoptera as a beneficiary is not a requirement to receive support in the community but it is appreciated because:Hi @hivewatchers I also answer this question because I help @fedesox manage the balaenoptera account.
@balaenoptera is an account that uses and will use 100% of the rewards it receives from community members to redistribute to the community through initiatives to incentivize content posting and interaction of hivers who write on Odb. Balaenoptera is not an account that has profit goals (which can be checked from here: https://peakd.com/@balaenoptera/wallet) but has the main goal of increasing the onboarding of new hivers and in particular increasing the number of Italian language content on Hive because there are few of them.
In the past, a poll was done in which Odb members chose a fixed percentage of 3% as beneficiary rewards for those who post in Odb versus a free percentage.
There are members who have decided to leave 3% and others who on their own initiative choose 5% or 10% and others who post without beneficiary rewards using front ends that do not have the beneficiary option set.
There is a weekly contest where Olio di Balena members can vote for the best post which must have requirements (minimum 500 words, original content, proper source citation) and voting is done through a poll. https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@balaenoptera/untoandbisunto-9-contest-decentralizzato-settimanale-su-olio-di-balena-prize-pool-100-hive-nuovo-tema--vincitori-7-contest--spovth
There will be other initiatives in the future that will reward those who interact the most and those who have medium to long-term goals on Hive.
If there are aspects to improve or correct we are absolutely open to advice

Alright. Thanks for the detailed explanation.
