My Game Activity and Progress on Splinterlands:
Season Partial Results, Cards, SPS, Glint, DEC and my Considerations
I'm a Splinterlands player since September 2019, Splinterlands is my favorite blockchain-based game and to date I have played a little less than 37000 battles without using bots because Splinterlands is a fun game for me.
On Splinterlands playing time is marked by seasons that last about 15 days.
The current season on Splinterlands will end in 4 days and 23 hours.
The current season so far has been a very positive season for me because I have improved my win rate compared to the previous season.
In fact, I have played 216 Ranked battles in which I won 113 times with a win rate = 52.31%.
I improved my win rate by +5.42% and gained almost 100K GLINT
However, I have not yet achieved my seasonal goals that I set at the beginning of the season:
- arrive in the Diamond II league
- earn at least 155K Glint
I still have almost 5 days to reach these goals and I will try to achieve them.
As for my activity of optimizing my card collection I have entered a phase of complete Buy side break and will start a sales-only phase.
I love playing on Splinterlands because I enjoy it.
I love to increase the strength of my card collection by buying or upgrading my usable cards in Modern Format.
I love playing only against real players like me and not against bots.
I prefer to make love with my wife instead of making love with a robot doll.
I detest the fact that when the new card set is released I will not be able to use my Chaos Legion cards to enjoy playing against real players like me but will be forced:
- to play against bots that are more efficient than me.
- or to use a bots.
I will also have to pay a fortnightly cost (Wild Pass) which generally, in almost all games, you pay to have an advantage and not an inability to have fun!
This is why I voted No to the Draft Proposal on the early release of the new set of cards and I voted No to the current proposal.
Unfortunately, my 105K staked SPS is little to influence this decision but I was hoping other players/SPS stakeholders would have the same opinion as me.
The old cards need to have utility back in play for real players who like to play on Splinterlands, the economic value of cards is a direct consequence especially of the play value (not monetary) of a card in a TCG!
I continue to hope that things will change before the release of the new set of cards but in the meantime the current combination of bots in the Wild Format + Wild Pass is a total disincentive for me to buy cards of the old editions because they are simply expiration cards for me and for any other real player like me who enjoys playing manually on Splinterlands because he considers it a beautiful game and not an idle game as it becomes by using and tolerating bots instead!
I don't want to delve into this topic also because I have repeatedly shared my thoughts on bots and the rotation mechanism...
As a result of the current proposal that will pass in all likelihood my strategy on Splinterlands will change.
What I will do immediately is:
- sell all Chaos Legion cards that I do not or rarely use in battle
- buy only Rebellion cards if I find very very affordable prices
- focus completely on accumulating GLINT tokens to have a good base of Reward Rebellion cards to use when I can no longer use my Chaos Legion cards in Modern Format.
This is the reason why I decided to upgrade to the maximum level of Reward Soulbound Rebellion cards of common rarity first because, although I consider rare and epic reward cards to be more useful in battle, common cards are the easiest to upgrade to the maximum level.
My card collection has a market value = 2724.20$ and consists of 1000 cards = 22149 BCX
I have 112 cards = 1109 BCX of the Rebellion set: market value 926.68$
I have 772 cards = 18430 BCX of the Chaos Legion set: market value 864.61$
When the Chaos Legion set comes out of the Modern Format:
- I will have a relatively very strong card collection in the Wild Format
- I will have a relatively very weak card collection in the Modern Format.
Regarding SPS tokens, I am making progress to increase my amount of SPS staked.
I am close to reaching an amount of 106K SPS staked because I have 105717 SPS staked.
Thanks to the amount of SPS staked in my possession:
- I have a Glint boost = 11.08
- I receive 19.28 SPS + 2.29 VOUCHER per day = $0.18
I also have 3265 SPS in the pool PKM:SPS which I will continue to feed with the SPS and PKM rewards I receive daily from the pool and with a portion of the SPS I get from my gaming activity.
In the previous season I earned just over 1000 SPS, and my main source of accumulation is the in-game rewards I get from battle victories: 646.63 SPS.
Right now I have 181K DEC in my in-game wallet.
The situation on the market value side of Splinterlands tokens relative to the last 60 days is positive for DEC and SPS tokens but less so for VOUCHER tokens.
In my opinion the DEC token might reach its peg (1000 DEC = $1) when the sale of the new set of cards begins although I think that without Splinterlands doing something to restore in-game use cases to the old cards, there won't be many packs sold...
One of the aspects I have always liked about Splinterlands is the continuous addition of features and the continuous improvement of usability.
Recently, new Draws have been introduced that contain only Gold Foil version cards.
Gold cards allow you to receive a +10% bonus on gain in GLINT per battle won.
I would love to have all Gold cards but these draws have a very high cost in Glint and I will not purchase them because based on my average gain per season in GLINT tokens I could purchase few such Draws each season and prefer to have many Regular cards than to have few Gold cards.
I will end this post by showing two of my latest battles (one won and one lost) that I played in the Diamond III league of the Modern Format by selecting only those battles in which I received one of the new 5 rulesets recently introduced by Splinterlands.

La mia attività di gioco e i miei progressi su Splinterlands
Gioco su Splinterlands dal mese di settembre 2019, Splinterlands è il mio gioco basato su blockchain preferito e fino ad oggi ho giocato poco meno di 37000 battaglie senza mai usare bots perchè Splinterlands è un gioco divertente per me.
Su Splinterlands il tempo di gioco è scandito dalle stagioni che durano circa 15 giorni.
La stagione in corso su Splinterlands terminerà tra 4 giorni e 23 ore.
La stagione in corso è stata fino ad ora una stagione molto positiva per me perchè ho migliorato il mio win rate rispetto alla stagione precedente.
Infatti ho giocato 216 Ranked battles in cui ho vinto 113 volte con un win rate = 52.31%.
Ho migliorato il mio win rate del +5.42% e ho guadagnato quasi 100K GLINT
Non ho però ancora raggiunto i miei obiettivi stagionali che ho fissato all'inizio della stagione:
- arrivare in lega Diamond II
- guadagnare almeno 155K Glint
Ho ancora quasi 5 giorni per raggiungere questi obiettivi e proverò a raggiungerli.
Per quanto riguarda la mia attività di ottimizzazione della mia collezione di carte sono entrato in una fase di completa pausa lato Buy e inizierò una fase di solo Vendita.
Amo giocare su Splinterlands perchè mi diverto.
Amo aumentare la forza della mia collezione di carte acquistando o facendo l'upgrade delle mie carte utilizzabili nel Modern Format.
Amo giocare solo contro giocatori reali come me e non contro bots.
Preferisco fare l'amore con mia moglie invece di fare l'amore con una bambola robotica.
Detesto il fatto che quando il nuovo set di carte sarà rilasciato non potrò utilizzare le mie carte Chaos Legion per divertirmi a giocare contro giocatori reali come me ma sarò costretto:
- a giocare contro bots più efficienti di me
- oppure a usare un bots
Dovrò anche pagare un costo quindicinale (Wild Pass) che in genere, in quasi tutti i giochi, si paga per avere un vantaggio e non una impossibilità a divertirsi!
Per questo motivo ho votato no alla Draft Proposal sul rilascio anticipato del nuovo set di carte e ho votato No alla proposta in corso.
Purtroppo i miei 105K SPS staked sono pochi per influenzare questa decisione ma speravo che altri giocatori/SPS stakeholders avessero la mia stessa opinione.
Le vecchie carte hanno bisogno di riavere utilità in gioco per i giocatori reali che amano giocare su Splinterlands, il valore economico delle carte è una diretta conseguenza soprattutto del valore di gioco (non monetario) di una carta in un TCG!
Continuo a sperare che le cose cambino prima del rilascio del nuovo set di carte ma nel frattempo l'attuale combinazione bots nel Wild Format + Wild Pass è un totale disincentivo per me ad acquistare le carte delle vecchie edizioni perchè semplicemente sono carte a scadenza per me e per qualsiasi altro giocatore reale come me che si diverte a giocare manualmente su Splinterlands perchè lo considera un bellissimo gioco e non un idle game come invece diventa usando e tollerando i bots!
Non voglio dilungarmi su questo argomento anche perchè ho più volte condiviso il mio pensiero sui bots e sul meccanismo di rotazione...
Quello che farò immediatamente è:
- vendere tutte le carte Chaos Legion che non uso in battaglia o che uso raramente in battaglia
- acquistare solo carte Rebellion se troverò prezzi molto molto convenienti
- focalizzarmi completamente sull'accumulo dei token GLINT per avere una buona base di carte Reward Rebellion da utilizzare quando non potrò più utilizzare le mie carte Chaos Legion nel Modern Format.
E' questo il motivo per cui ho deciso di fare prima l'upgrade al livello massimo delle carte Rebellion Reward Soulbound di rarità comune perchè, anche se considero più utili in battaglia le carte reward rare ed epiche, le carte comuni sono le più facili da portare al livello massimo.
La mia collezione di carte ha un valore di mercato = 2724.20$ ed è composta da 1000 carte = 22149 BCX
Ho 112 carte = 1109 BCX del set Rebellion: valore di mercato 926.68$
Ho 772 carte = 18430 BCX del set Chaos Legion: valore di mercato 864.61$
Quando il set Chaos Legion uscirà dal Modern Format:
- avrò una collezione di carte relativamente molto forte nel Wild Format
- avrò una collezione di carte relativamente molto debole nel Modern Format
Per quanto riguarda i token SPS sto facendo dei progressi per aumentare il mio quantitativo di SPS staked.
Sono vicino a raggiungere un quantitativo di 106K SPS staked perchè ho 105717 SPS staked.
Grazie al quantitativo di SPS staked in mio possesso:
- ho un Glint boost = 11.08
- ricevo 19.28 SPS + 2.29 VOUCHER al giorno = 0.18$
Ho anche 3265 SPS nella pool PKM:SPS che continuerò ad alimentare con le ricompense in SPS e in PKM che ricevo giornalmente dalla pool e con una parte degli SPS che ottengo dalla mia attività di gioco.
Nella precedente stagione ho guadagnato poco più di 1000 SPS e la mia fonte principale di accumulo sono le ricompense di gioco che ottengo dalle vittorie in battaglia: 646.63 SPS.
In questo momento ho 181K DEC nel mio in-game wallet
La situazione lato valore di mercato degli Splinterlands tokens relativa agli ultimi 60 giorni è positiva per i token DEC e i token SPS ma meno per i token VOUCHER.
Secondo me il token DEC potrebbe raggiungere il suo peg (1000 DEC = 1$) quando iniziarà la vendita del nuovo set di carte anche se penso che, se Splinterlands non farà qualcosa per ridare casi d'uso in gioco alle vecchie carte, non ci saranno molti pacchi venduti...
Uno degli aspetti che mi è sempre piaciuto di Splinterlands è la continua aggiunta di funzionalità e il continuo miglioramento dell'usabilità.
Di recente sono stati introdotti dei nuovi Draws che contengono solo carte in versione Gold Foil.
Le carte Gold permettono di ricevere un bonus di +10% sul guadagno in GLINT.
Mi piacerebbe avere tutte carte Gold ma questi draws hanno un costo in Glint molto alto e io non li acquisterò perchè in base al mio guadagno medio per stagione in token GLINT potrei acquistare pochi Draws di questo tipo in ogni stagione e preferisco avere molte carte Regular rispetto ad avere poche carte Gold.
Concludo questo post mostrando due delle mie ultime battaglie (una vinta e una persa) che ho giocato nella lega Diamond III del Modern Format selezionando solo le battaglie in cui ho ricevuto una delle nuove 5 rulesets introdotte di recente da Splinterlands.

I have pretty much implemented the same strategy and my core set will be the soulbound cards from May next year. Unless the rebellion set drops in price, (currently 5k Vs 0.5k CL)I cannot see myself buying any cards as they lose value once they rotate out. It's a shame, but I accept it for what it is.

In tutto ciò secondo me, caro @libertycrypto27, non emerge abbastanza un elemento: obbligando a vendere le carte che finiscono nel wild format si finisce per espropriare i giocatori del valore di quelle che era, giustamente, il loro principale asset, le carte.
Le nuove carte infatti non saranno veramente tue se non pagandole un importo del quale non rientrerai praticamente mai. Basta guardare cosa sta accadendo già ora alle carte Chaos Legion Rewardd soulbound. Ad esser al di sopra del livello di acquisto sono rimaste solo una manciata di esse, per la gran parte di esse il valore sul mercato è più basso di quello di riscatto. Io non sto riscattando nulla, anche perché non intenzione di spendere un centesimo, e quando le carte non mi serviranno più per giocare le brucerò per prendere Glint per le nuove carte reward da usare, facendo un turnover fra i deck. Ma le carte non saranno più un valore per il giocatore se non per il fatto che servono da vincere SPS in Dec, che sono di fatto l'unico asset rimasto che ha un valore estraibile.
Concludendo direi che definire oggi Splinterland un gioco play & earn mi sembra del tutto fuorviante. E' earn solo investendo dall'estero un notevole importo i cui tempi di recupero sono lunghissimi, nella migliore delle ipotesi.
Va bene, ho sempre detto che si doveva puntare sulle persone che giocano per divertirsi piuttosto che per guadagnare altrimenti non sarebbe possibile renderlo sostenibile, ma a questo punto non solo non è più play and earn, ma addirittura è molto costoso per esser giocato a livelli che diano un minimo di soddisfazione ludica.
Concludo osservando un altro aspetto che mi sembra paradossale. Anche la nuova proposta ha un che di comico. Cioè, gli sviluppatori vogliono esser pagati per elaborare le nuove carte che poi ti dovrai comprare? E' come se un cuoco chiedesse i esser pagato per elaborare nuovi piatti nel menù, che poi dovrai pagare per mangiare. Mi sembra si stia perdendo il senso della misura.
