I think playing the long game is the only way to build solid foundations that will last a lifetime. Experiencing some volatility within the long game is quite normal and shouldn't be interpreted as a sign to jump ship, wished I've learnt this earlier.
I think volatility is scary, although it's there in every aspect of life, however most times the choice is always to jump ships and then probably come back when the storm have passed. However this act alone shows disloyalty
Coming back when the storm has passed could be viewed as peak disloyalty. It's only when we experienced the hard times can we be truly rewarded during the good or great times.
